It was a rhetorical question, but it's just bad luck that as soon as the new slate is revealed, the films I'm interested in are scheduled for the latest date possible. Why it's not February or March? Because I'm interested in it, lol. At least Girl comes out in March, only because it was delayed from November. Grrrrrrrrr.... Sorry for lamentation.

Anyway, going by the film stock, it will be a rather grainy presentation. Not the dirtiest 80s shit, but Tootsie and Return of the Jedi are probably good indications. But, as always, as long as it looks filmic without any obvious digital manipulation, I'm good. It still should be a lot better than the current blu.

I think the 1983 Scarface is one of the most overrated movies of all time, the 1932 version is much better imo. I can't wait to see what the Coen Brothers do with the new version of Scarface.

But the more UHD's the better.

I remember having to watch the 1932 version for one of my film classes in college, so I used that opportunity to purchase the steelbook that came with both versions. I'll definitely pick this up though and throw the 1932 DVD in the case with it.

Damn, it's Universal. They're very hit and miss with catalog UHDs. E.T., JP films vs. Mummy trilogy and Lebowski.

I'm guessing it's just a boxed set of 2009, Into Darkness, and Beyond.

Yeah, I think they'll give this a bit of "the treatment" but I've still got high hopes that it'll hit more than it'll miss.

It won't take much to make this a big upgrade over the BD...even for Universal.
