I'd rather have $1,000 dollars than $100.00. What's YOUR point?

But AIDS is treatable and curable nowadays.

It's not curable that I am aware of. Maybe treatable, but not curable.

Well, my wife is the expert, but you can have AIDS today and then not have it tomorrow. But I don't know if that constitutes a cure since you would still have HIV.

I consider Apocalypse about equal to The Last Stand, which to me means it's an okay film with some redeemable aspects but overall was a disappointment and missed opportunity. IMO, the only truly awful film in the franchise is XO: Wolverine.

The trailers for Dark Phoenix look pretty good to me. If it's as awful as the rumors, the trailers/marketing department is doing a really good job covering that up.

It's (again) nothing like the comic, so I'll wait for the 3rd rake of the same story when they actually get it right, and with the right cast of mutants.

And The Wolverine (and to a degree, Logan) were terrible. They NEVER got Wolverine right as a character, and that 2nd film just ruined the classic Frank Miller story with all the 3rd act nonsense, which was worse IMO than anything in Origins.

You know the hype train for a new movie is gaining steam when the forum dedicated to its premium format release is largely a discussion of whether AIDS is still real.

I like the take on the series, but I also knew inevitably it would run it's course and be rebooted, likely in a way that closer resembles the classic comics/ 90's cartoon series. And that was before Disney bought Fox. Now it's even more likely we'll get the classic Phoenix storyline, complete with Shiar and the M'Kraan crystal and all that in the MCU at some point down the line.

I hope so. But Marvel has said they don't want to do, say, Green Goblin again (and finally maybe correct) because he'd been in two Spider-Man movies already. So I'm not sure they'd want to tackle the same "story" for a 3rd time.

You should just stick to reading comics. I don't know how you can like any comic book movie then, because every film adaptation takes liberties -- even the ones made by Marvel Studios.

The posters have been phenomenal for Dark Phoenix, so I don't care which one they choose to put on the cover. Love that placeholder though, if it turns out to be similar to the final art.

It is interesting how much Disney has pushed this movie over the past month. The moment they got the rights, I started seeing ads for it everywhere.

Always weird when the marketing for a big movie shoots up as the release date gets closer.

This is the first time I have ever seen advertisements for an XMEN movie. Ever. So yeah, it is quite weird.

I'd watch Apocalypse all day long over Last Stand. Heck, Wolverine isn't very good but it STILL walks all over the truly DREADFUL Last Stand.

Don't mind me, I absolutely CAN'T STAND Ratner as a Director...or a human being for that matter!
