Yes, it should be the same disc from 2014.

Also, if it’s limited and you pre-order from amazon what if the pre-orders reach the limited number they’re making does it guarantee you the box set?
No guarantees, but it does help if you order early, and use the fastest shipping option.

Its a shame this set can't restore the correct version of the pink room scene in FWWM - the only release I've got which is correct is the French BD

I hate to say it but I’m gonna preorder the limited edition. I still hope we’ll get it all on UHD at some point.

Pink Room scene has been corrected = dialogue muffled by the loud music with subtitles.

thats not how it was shown at the cinema - it was super loud music, unintelligible talking and no subtitles. I'd take optional subtitles but prefer it as seen at the pictures back in (92?)

I bought the criterion and checked it and I'm sure it wasn't correct still (can't exactly remember what was wrong - will check and compare the discs later, I have all three - French BD, boxset version plus Crit)

So I guess the only real reason to keep the criterion disc is for the Sheryl Lee interview?

I've owned the VHS set, the DVD set, and currently have all 3 seasons + Fire Walk with Me (Criterion) on BD. With only 2 episodes on UHD, I don't see a reason to splurge for this. And I'm a big fan -- I even read the Diary of Laura Palmer back when these first aired on TV, searching for clues who the killer was!

Frankly, the 4k disc is the only reason I'm ordering this.

And the lossless original 2.0 surround track, assuming one cares about such things.

I would say that if you only have the FWWM Criterion disc then this set is probably worth it for all of the hours of bonus content that won’t be included in the complete television collection.

Is there a release without subtitles anywhere? I could never work out which one was supposed to be 'correct' but in the cinema, there was definitely no subtitles and it was an astounding scene. I've got the Aussie disc and the UK disc.

That’s weird only 2 episodes? Why? Lazy? No budget? No time?

There's no way they can determine whether a 4K release will sell by throwing a 4K sample disc into this set that many people might never even touch.

Paramount couldn't even be bothered to put out 4K versions of Star Trek Discovery or Yellowstone.

In the US it was shown with subs but I heard a few places didn't carry the subs for the scene (UK). Anyway, the muffled dialogue with hardcoded subs is how Lynch wants us to watch the scene nowadays.

This is all correct, as far as I've ever heard.

Yeah I guess you're right, but it still feels just like the TNG sampler (including the first ep and a much later one) except you have to pony up $140 simoleons to buy it!
