For some reason, I thought this was not going to be as crunchy and gory as Rambo (2008), but oh my, look at all the certifications:

[Show spoiler]RAMBO: LAST BLOOD is an action thriller in which the war veteran must cross the Mexican border to find a missing young woman.

Violence
A man's heart is removed from his body in close up detail. After a man is stabbed, his collar bone is forcibly exposed and a man threatens to pull it out and snap it. Other violence includes a scene in which men are attacked with a hammer. There are frequent scenes of gunfire.

There is sexual threat when women are kidnapped and lined up by sex traffickers. Victims of human trafficking are forcibly drugged with heroin. There is strong language ('f**k').

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
Quote:
MPAA Rated R for strong graphic violence, grisly images, drug use and language.

Certification
Australia:R18+ Austria:16 Brazil:18 Canada:18A (Alberta) Canada:18A (British Columbia) Canada:13+ (Quebec) Czech Republic:15 Denmark:15 Finland:K-16 France:Tous publics Germany:18 Hungary:18 Ireland:18 Lithuania:N-16 Luxembourg:16 Malaysia:18 Netherlands:16 New Zealand:R18 Norway:15 (2019, cinema rating) Philippines:R-16 Russia:18+ Singapore:M18 Switzerland:16 United Kingdom:18 United States:R (certificate #52357)
The movie got the most restrictive commercial rating in almost every country, just like the last one. I'm so happy.

A 4K finish is absolutely incredible.

Saw it today and the film doesn't disappoint even slightly. It meaningfully contributes to Rambo's character arc, and delivers the type of awesome, gory mayhem that we attend these flicks to see. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to watch it again. And again. And again.

Day 1 purchase.

Watching after work. I love every Rambo movie (even 3) and just marathoned them on UHD in ancitipation.

The tone worried me in the trailer with the Old Country Road song and the marketing of "Get off his lawn".

Even during its most cartoonish moments, Rambo still had an underlining theme and serious tone. I thought Rambo 4 ended on a positive note and I didn't want it ruined by a goofy movie. Your review gives me hope.

Except we have a strange situation here:

US/CA/UK: 89 minutes this is including credits
International versions: 101 minutes including credits

Above info is confirmed info.
