It should be with those next gen consoles hitting at the end of the year. I was anticipating an increase in back catalogue releases. More around the summer though.

John Singleton's best movie. May he rest in peace since sadly he passed away back in April of this year.

Thankfully getting importing UK titles isn't especially difficult or that much more expensive than getting a domestic copy.

Ughh, picked this up right after Singleton passed this year. Got it for a song, however, so double dipping stings a little less. You're welcome folks!

No barking from the dog, no smog, tons of UHD announcements to fill my backlog...I gotta say it was a good day.

I had the DVD, but sold it off along with almost all of my other DVDs in anticipation BD back in 2006. However, for some reason, I never bought the BD even though it sold very cheap at one point. But, no holding back now.

Thankfully. But I still don't get what's happening, as European releases all have solid dates for early December. But the US, the biggest market, where most of it's audience is. The film which enshrined the zeitgeist of American culture at that time, and changed the landscape of Hollywood for a generation. Nope, no 50th.

Now they are readying other back catalogue UHDs for release. Taking nothing away from Boyz In The Hood, but objectively it's not as significant a film as East Rider in the pantheon of film. Nor will it probably be as big a seller.

So i feel it only reinforces my hypothesis that the absence of the Easy Rider UHD in the US is a direct result of someone really screwing up the US licensing agreement with Criterion. And they've suddenly realized they are restricted under that contract from bringing out any other physical release.

Yes everyone, you can expect me to dredge this up with every back catalogue release Sony announces next year.

Where's Easy Rider US (looks under a rock) nothing here.
