Default Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island (2019)

Digital release on 9/3/19 and DVD release on 10/1/19

https://thegeekiary.com/return-to-zo...doo-film/67417

"On Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island, Scooby-Doo and his pals win an all-expense paid vacation and embark on a trip of a lifetime to a tropical paradise. Their destination, however, turns out to be Zombie Island. As soon as they arrive, they realize the place looks strangely familiar and is reminiscent of a trip they took years ago, in which they became wrapped up in a mystery involving zombies. The gang soon learns that their trip to paradise comes with a price when the zombies re-emerge and attack their hotel. Will Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang finally solve the mystery behind Zombie Island?"

Zombie Island was the best Scooby Doo movie.

I guess with this hitting DVD only all hope is gone for a Blu-ray release of the original.

It would have been nice to see this and the original come to Blu Ray, but I am interested to see this! And it's a great excuse to revisit the original.

Nah I don't think that's true. This was going to be a DVD only release from the jump, as all new Scooby movies have been for years now.

I wonder if they will use the animation style from the original movie, or if they will use the one they are using now.

100% current animation, especially if the cover is anything to go by.

I really hope that they don't mess this movie up considering how bad 13th ghost was.

I have no hope for it after seeing that cover art and the "family friendly" description that was used to describe it in the PR. I'll buy it on DVD in October but my expectations cannot be any lower than they currently are. Sad because Zombie Island is one of my favorite things from my childhood.

Yeah this doesn’t look good and the new animation style is horrible.

The zombies about 57 seconds into the trailer look solid, at least as far as modern animation goes. Would've preferred less comedy and more horror but I'll still give it a chance. It'll probably only be like $12.99 or $14.99 on release day, that's not bad.

Yeah, I'm getting "Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie" vibes from this, and that's definitely not good.

After the awful crap they did to 13 ghosts of scooby-doo I don't trust them at all. That movie was a slap in the face to 80s scooby fans and no sense at all with the three "daphne is leader" seasons. Plus fred and velma were in those seasons and DID fight REAL ghosts WB!

So are the ghosts going to be reconned to fake here also?
