Star Wars threads really bring out the worst in people.

Or it brings out people who care not for the original artists' work. The effects in Star Wars were ground breaking and took a team of craftsmen and craftswomen to make many of them work for the first time EVER. Then GL scribbled all over them with CGI, and often times poor CGI.

It should’ve been revealed that Ben was the product of Palps immaculate conceptioning Leia. Rey barely had an ounce of evil in her.

I blame Abrams (under Disney's poor management) for the most significant problems of the trilogy. The sequels would have had a much better chance if he thought the intro through more, if he had done proper world building and treated the original characters with more respect. Then he made it worse by sticking to his original plan and refusing to work with what Johnson left him. He's despicable for wasting a once in a lifetime opportunity. He's not a good storyteller. Star Trek 2009 benefited from not having him write it.

Not because he disobeyed a contractual mandate to write a particular ending. Say what you will about Trevorrow, but he's not 4 years old.

He directed the pilot. I'm not sure what his involvement was with the rest of the series.

It drives me nuts when people are in complete denial of the existence of the ST.

I'm not questioning your memory, Hardback247. I'm denying its existence.

The great thing about the sequel trilogy, is that if you completely ignore it's existence.... it has no impact on my enjoyment I-VI, including the Clone Wars and Rogue One.

By that logic, are any of the James Bond movies that aren't based on Ian Fleming books "fan fiction"?

I've only seen about 2 James Bond movies, so I would not be of the proper expertise to comment on that series.

I'd like to meet the person who designs these Buena Vista 4K/Blu-Ray covers and just ask, "Why?"

These covers are going to be atrocious.

OMG!! Was this really necessary to devolve yet another Star Wars thread?! Like it's your right to think that and even say that but you knew that that kind of comment would lead into...
Can't you guys pick one thread and leave the rest to people who actually want to talk about these releases in general or Star Wars without all the fighting, bickering and Moaning?!?

Actually your response should of been...

"If you think I'll stand here and take this from you, dwarf..."

But you obviously did not get the reference. Just like you don't get the bit of fun I'm having. Go watch your Sequel Trilogy. Enjoy it. Doesn't mean I will watch it ever again....
