A lot of shows tried to pack 3+ hours of episodes per disc which DVD just isn't built for. It mostly looks like garbage below 6-7 mb/s without a clean HD source. And I'm not too well versed on analog capture but from what I understand it used to be harder to prevent aliasing & shimmering so they would pre-blur it more than they need to now.

It's not available anywhere. They remastered it in 4K and likely let Millcreek master the Blu-ray set from that but they sold the streaming rights to Hulu. They just got into offering 4K stuff but only on Hulu Originals so far.

Hardly anyone was able to watch it. The service Sony had was mostly confined to their premium players and UHDTV products and then it was supposed to spread to PC with the arrival of 4K monitors, but Sony killed it before it could go wide. I don't think The Shield had HDR like the films on the service did, so it probably looked about the same as the Blu-Rays, since those were minted from the 4K masters.

Great series, but what they did with the HDR is bush league.

I'd gladly upgrade my Breaking Bad blu's to 4K with no questions asked. I also need The Office to come to blu-ray or 4K since Netflix is losing it soon since I binge it every year.

There aren't any other shows I'd care too much to be thrown onto 4K. Maybe the first five seasons of Supernatural, but mostly because it's my second favorite show (after Breaking Bad). The blu's look great, but I feel like the first three seasons can look better since they were shot on film if I remember correctly.

I agree, but we don't know it would look the same on UHD.
