Would love to see this on UHD this year. 2020 is the film's 50th anniversary, and it's the perfect candidate for UHD being a large format film.

I know Disney owns it now, so I won't get my hopes up, but damn it would look great! The remastered BD is no slouch, yet I'd be willing to bet that a well done UHD would smoke it.

C'mon you paper hanging SOBs, make it happen!

The fact that it wasn't on the release calendar before - the film was released in April - Disney axed Fox Home Entertainment likely means we aren't getting it, though it could certainly come with the Holiday offerings, if Disney is feeling generous and Fox prepped it for the format before the axe fell.

75th Anniversary of V-E Day is in May of this year, so it could still occur.

I can confirm PATTON underwent a major restoration in the last eighteen months. 11K image harvest, 8K restoration, 4K HDR finish. What I can't confirm is what they plan to do with it.

The mouse won't do it as they barely release any catalog titles, or do a massive dump of them(last years 30 something releases) that are atmoused and probably DNRed or something
