Solarrdadd aka The BrOdinson at 2015 NYCC!

howdy, as some of you know, I went to New York Comic Con this year (NYCC 2015) and I thought I'd create a pictorial thread. many of these pictures (probably most) include me and some with my daughter in it.

if anyone has pictures that they have taken (please don't sneak stuff from online) while at NYCC 2015 please feel free to post them in here.

I expect everyone to both enjoy themselves here and more importantly, be civil in your post to everyone.

if you post a picture, put a line or two in about the picture and let us know if your in any of the pictures and if your in cosplay, let us know who you are in the picture!

I met up with other members of the MCU while at the con on Friday.

I accompanied the Lady Sif to present an Infinity Stone to The Collector, I had a bad feeling about his true nature!

I stopped by Sony Studios to extend a welcome to Spiderman to join the MCU in upcoming ventures!

there would be many lives at stake in the place of the great battle, the arena known as The Jacob Javits Convention Center. The Battle would be known as The New York Comic Con 2015! oh what a battle it was!

Silk Spectre made contact with her fellow Watchman who vowed support in our quest; we needed entrance into the Javits Center.

this Rorschach did provide us with passes, a good man I'm sure, but, I could never get a good read upon his face.

I seeked council from on high and had the word put out of our need for other heroes to aid us in our battle.

an evil Disney Witch and her good girl gone bad companion did appear to cast their evil spells.

the wicked ones did call up from hell a mystical chain wielding fire headed demon for me to do battle with!

I found out through the Rainbow Bridge Grape Vine that the Disney Witch was in league with none other than the Trickster God, Loki. I was forced to Asgard to battle him.

thanks to the skill and reasoning of Silk, we turned the tables on the witches and had this fire demon, The Ghost Rider, to fight for our cause along side us.

I drew Loki into my trap by dropping mine hammer upon the ground and while Loki foolishly tried to lift it, I rested his staff of power from him and subdued him. he shall spend time in the dungeons of Asgard!

sorry guys, had a busy day and a late night, not to mention, I have to go into work a couple of hours early, but, I promise I'll post some more pictures of the con tomorrow when I get home!

during my time in midgard I noticed there were some, sideshows, that caught mine attention.

there were all manner of mutated beasts that didist seek battle of the savage kind.

there were those that did cling to structure whilst battling during some form of contorted swinging fight.

all manner of creature no matter how small up unto the biggest trooper were willing to join the cause.

we also had enlisted top Agents to do field recon work for our team, and we didst seek out the best of the kind to do so. even the tiniest of them unmasked with the largest of them unmasked didst man the battle lines for their chance.

those of the cinematic type universe didst fight along side those of the classic Jumpin Jack of the Kirby Era!

Silk didst even dare to chance the Anderson Matrix for help, such was received.

Mine child didst even delve into the mystical Realm from he who burns the stick of smoke to help fight and exorcise the demons.

we did even convince the tiny foul mouthed wise cracking pool of dead, he was most willing and resilient.

while in the Lucas system, I did find another great father daughter team at the Con both skilled in battle, the father, exceptional talents!

we accepted all who wanted to fight with us, even Sith joined Jedi to part of the battle.

my daughter did wander to the Potter Realm in search of a great evil who cannot be named and she did convince him to battle for us; something about a "Harry" but, whatever it takes!

there are good witches and bad witches and the Scarlet one, well, she was BAD! The BrOdinson wouldst not refuse her, services!

sometimes, just plain Warriors would do, but, these were great warriors, of the Isle of Coney they were feared throughout the land of Brooklyn!

yep, that's me Double B! and yeah, we had a great time. nothing like quality time with your daughter and it turns out to be something that you both love, enjoy and are serious about!

oh and for a quick break from our regularly scheduled program, here is a link to a 3D photo that my daughter and I took at the con. it was done by GEICO and it was shot with multiple DSLR cameras much like they did bullet time in the Matrix. well, if we had changed on the subway, we would have been arrested, exposure, you know!

having said that, we dressed at home in the morning and stayed in character all day until we got home at night. we walked for almost 20 minutes to get to the M train in BedStuy, had breakfast uptown in the City at a café then we headed back downtown to the convention center; all in character. I swear we must have taken no less than 100 pictures on the street and in the subways alone. everybody wanted to see Black Thor!

subway action baby. we walked so much and rode the train so much that my daughter got rid of the wig that was part of the costume and just went with her natural hair, she said she couldn't handle that damn wig, notice you don't see it in any pictures! look at my leggings, kept my ass in tact, but, walked my leggings off!

had breakfast in a nice cozy café somewhere around 85th street. had a good time, 3 families had kids there and they all wanted pictures with my daughter and me!

heading towards the train station so we could get back downtown to the Con! I walked my leggings off both here and on the train ride. I had to fix them up when I got to the Con! according to my iphone 6+, I took 18,347 steps the first day of NYCC!

we needed heros to fight with us in the battle to come. Silk Spectre did seek to enlist the help of these Mutants, the two Deadpools, well, we knew we had to keep a watchful eye upon them!

we refused no heros, no matter how small or young. this young Atlantian would someday be King! he would be fine, after a change, a feeding and a nap!

I found myself between powerful beings from the Village of Greenwich they arrived by steel chariot from the outer reaches of West 4th St. all are welcome to help in the great battle to come.

our travels took us to the outer reaches of the outback realm, it was there that Silk did convince one of the War Boys, to join our cause.

while in the great outback realm, I had the privilege to meet the great woman warrior Imperator Furiosa. with the aid of her metal power arm, she kept mine hammer at bay and it took both of the BrOdinsons arms to wrest mine mallet from her grasp. Furiosa doth know how to work mine mallet! she was most definitely worthy!
