I'm aware that a REAL Home Theatre Setup is best, but I just needed a small system for my small room. It seems to be pretty up to date with 3D Blu-Ray, 1000W total output power, 5.1 Surround Sound2, Digital Cinema Auto Calibration, It claims to have 1920x1080 Full HD3D, Dolby True HD digital plus, DTS-HD, XCHD Progressive, S-Master Digital Amplifier, SBMV(Super Bit Mapping) Wireless LAN Built in, and Magnetic Fluid Speaker technology and Homeshare Party Streaming. The rears are wireless and it also brought an iPhone/iPod Dock.

Like I mentioned this is just for a bedroom, not anything fancy...ANYONE out there know anything about the sound quality of this System I haven't opened it yet, and would appreciate A-N-Y feedback anyone has about this system...I'll take anything-Opinions, Impressions, Experience with, whatever!...Thanks for any feedback...PLEASE...I'd really like to know if this thing is decent for a bedroom-Thanks Again.

Can Anyone at least tell me what all that stuff means?...(5.1 Surround Sound2)-what's the two about?, (XCHD Progressive)?, (SBMV)?, (Magnetic Speaker Technology)?...are all these big 50 cent technojargon words in any way advantageous?...Anyone?

Why not just Google all those terms?

I bought the unit yesterday and it's leaps and bounds better than what I was replacing (5 year-old Samsung HTiB).

Just hook it all up and enjoy!

Well, I figured since most of you Technophiles are quite knowledgeable about such things, I'd get a more personal answer to what these things do/offer...not trying to put anyone out or anything. I'm grateful that at least you responded with a positive opinion about the system and am now less apprehensive about hooking this baby up. I hope my experience with it mirrors yours and I can enjoy 3D/HD-HD in my small room with some decent sound and visuals...In any case thanks for the opinion, all in all.

I still don't have a 3D TV. No hurry. I'm happy with my Panny plasma.

How much did you pay for your HTiB? Mine was $449 at Costco, although I've seen these going for $80 less elsewhere (B&H).

I have a 40' inch SAMMY Series 6 6420 3DTV in my room that this system will be mated with when I put it all together (BTW, how was the setup? complicated or easy peasy?), I bought it "ON SALE" for $389.99 at Best Buy the ripoff artist bastards they can be at times...anyways I have a PS3 and 360 I plan to connect to it too for 5.1 HD Sound while I play games, I wonder who'll put out the best 3D, the PS3 or the System itself-lol

Weird that Best buy has a better deal than Costco.

Don't know what the deal was, but that was that weeks Sale Price on this system as well as a few other brands HTiB...the price has risen since, that I am aware of, that's why I didn't wanna open up a "SALE" item if I could find some opinions on it's quality first so if anything I could take it back for something else.

I bought this system about 6 months ago for my small studio apartment and it works great for the small space. Anything larger I think would be too much. However, I was replacing a very old RCA system so obviously this sounds ridiculously better. I did find that I had to play around with the audio controls and speaker settings quite a bit to get the best sounds from where my couch is located.

Cool, nice to hear it sounds good for a small space-although...I am wondering why you needed to play around with the Audio setup, Isn't that what the Digital Cinema Auto Calibration do? or in other words do for you?...This is probably a dumb question but I'm not too knowledgeable about Home Theatres and all their fancy features. It probably does something completely different altogether, I need to quit being lazy and just hook mine up already, I've got a lot of new movies I recently bought that I'm dying to watch in 3D with HD sound. Honestly, it's all the tweaking the system that's got me leaving it sit there in the box-pretty pathetic-I know...

Default I just bought this...

I just bought this system exactly one week ago. We set it up on Tuesday and works great so far. I only set it up to play dvd's and Blu-ray movies for now. I don't have a fast enough connection to set up wifi at this time. The wife and I are really enjoying it as it sounds pretty good.

We live in a small apartment so I can't set up a big system. The best thing is I only paid $328 bucks for it ay our local Wal-Mart.

Orbital, did you set yours up and how do you like it?

Later.

I actually use this system for my main HT set up and I think it's great. Very powerful sounding. One problem I had is during my recent flood my wireless surround amp for the rear speakers was damaged, and it's been tough to find a replacement at a reasonable price.

Still can't seem to grasp why HTIB get looked down upon. It is perfect for those whom only watch movies and even music here and there, like me. There is no need to mandate a big ugly receiver and all the other shits (speakers, sub, cables). Anyways, my point is if suits your needs and works as should, without needing to pay extra for a receiver with too many hdmi inputs you'll never use and everything else needed, enjoy it.

I don't give a flying f--k if the "audio-snobs" want to look down upon us who CHOOSE to use an HTIB or not.

If I enjoy it, then that's all that matters to me.

Adios.

Hi
Few months earlier I have purchase Sony BDV E3100 Blu-Ray HTIB (I was on low budget) and I was pretty excited to listen its sound at my home. It sounds really good at Store, as they were playing it on high volume.
After all setup when I play some music and movies I found the BASS is good but the hi-notes are missing, not all of them but not as I was expecting. One more thing I discover that the system do not have any tweeters. May be because of this I am missing some of Hi-Notes.
Over all sound is pretty good with clarity and decent boom.
I didn’t play any Blu-Ray on this so I am not able to experience the lossless audio, may be it will sound better with Blu-Ray.
I was assuming if I can replace those front satellite speakers with some decent speakers with tweeters.
Although Sony claims all speakers support full range.
Any suggestion/Help …… will be appreciated
