Default Soundbar suggestions?

Hi gang, I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a sound bar for me? I plan on hooking it up to a LG 55LE5500 in the living room and would love if it was a LG brand Especially since I'm considering purchasing a LG BD player(BP530) and would love to have one remote to control them. I was originally looking at the Yamaha & Samsung that Costco carries, but now I'm not so sure. Not sure what the difference is between the LG NB3530A and NB3520A? I can't decide if I should buy this from Amazon or at Video Only. Kind of wish Costco carried these, since I love their return policy when something goes south. Any thoughts on the LG BD player? Like I said, I'd love to have all of the same brands for components. I'd like to keep it below $300(Soundbar) if I can and would appreciate any assistance.

If you go to the LG website you can search for speaker bars...

select the two you like and compare them, you have to also select expand all specs, at a quick glance there are some differences.....

http://www.lg.com/hk_en/compare/comp..._en/sound-bars

HTH!!!

My suggestion... save up for proper speakers instead.

problem is he might not be able to fit them. I know my bedroom tv won't allow speakers because the door frames on either side of it are only 4 inches from the tv frame.

This is just for the living room Petra. I already have a Onkyo S5300 that I plan on using in my family room once everything is done. So I don't need to go balls out for this room. I'm thinking I posted this in the wrong forum, since most people post in the HTiB forum. Guess I'll see if a mod can move this for me. Thanks again for the feedback.

Given that its going to be supporting a 55" I don't think that's a viable candidate Jim. Looking at the link, I'd have to pay about $400 for that sound system to support the scale size. At that price I think I'd have to go with a normal sound system. Thanks for the input though, appreciate it.

I am looking to either get a sound bar or a HTIB but am not looking to spend over $150...can I even get anything that will upgrade the crappy audio from my TV?

I'm not familar with Soundbars, but my brother does not want or have the space for a 5.1 or more system. He want to pair a soundbar with a powered sub and a AVR. If he only has a soundbar and a sub hooked up to a AVR, will he still get HD audion when watching blurays?

The vizio sound bar gets some good reviews.

Check Polk audio, Sony.

Perhaps your TV maker makes an accompanying sound bar.

So Costco has the Samsung-HW-FM45C and I'm curious, other than watts, what is different between this and the FM55? I'm going back and forth between this one and the Yamaha they have in stock. Can anyone educate me on these two and is the bump in price worth it?

If I was you I'd just get a 5.1 Onkyo SS System for the price you're looking at.

I guess you missed my earlier post where I said I already have a Onkyo S5300 above and I'm looking for something to put in the living room? Looking for actual input to fit my needs, thanks

My 2 cents -

I've owned the LG HLS36W soundbar/wireless sub combo for about a year and half now and love it. I picked it up new on eBay back then for around $170 IIRC. I have a relatively small living room and this works perfect for my needs.

Thanks Bruiser. I still haven't made a decision and my wife is dragging her feet on us mounting the tv in a different location. I want to move it and the bar over to corner spot.

No, but it kind of got put on the back burner for the moment. I'll most likely pick something up at Costco when the time comes. Looks like they are gearing up for the season, but I haven't had a chance to do any research on them yet.
