It seems like audio from Blu's is either too loud or too low. I tried Forrest Gump, Breaking Bad and Toy Story and TS was the only one that sounded OK, the others have all had really loud moments and then moments where I could barely hear anything, is there a way to fix this? Is it the way the PS4 is outputting audio? I have it set to Linear PCM but I also tried Bitstream Dolby and Bitstream DTS and neither sounded any better, here is my soundbar: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261079131181...84.m1497.l2648

Any help is appreciated, also please move this to a place where it might receive more of a response if possible? I tried it with Breaking Bad and Terminator 2 earlier and the sound effects sound really loud and full but the dialog is really really low in the mix, could these just have bad mixes? I'm getting audio thru the HDMI if it matters.

I had a quick look at the manual and it's pretty complicated for a soundbar! You could try turning the 3D-Surround-Effect off and seeing how the Clear-Dialogue-Effect function affects playback.
It's on page 24 of the manual. I'd post a quick-guide but it's probably easier to do with the manual in front of you. Basically you hold MUTE down for 2 seconds until the unit flashes and you press MUTE to cycle through the options. Also the PS3 had a function where it could balance the audio for Dynamic Range Control this can affect audio level too (if I think it does what I think it does!). |

I think the soundbar supports all three outputs so it's probably worth starting with LPCM and working your way through them to see if there's a difference. Generally speaking there won't be a huge difference if the soundbar decodes the audio or the PlayStation does. You'd have to experiment by playing back the same audio with the different options. The only thing I can think of is that the Dolby or DTS might have more options for night-time viewing or clear dialogue but these are options the soundbar has anyway (and the player would have to support the extra options).

Still having this problem, tried it both with optical cable going from my PS4 to the soundbar as well as optical from soundbar to TV and also HDMI from PS4 to soundbar and none of these options are doing any good whatsoever, can anyone help?

If there's any way you can adjust your center speaker, depending on where you have it, that may help. On the soundbar that I have, I had mine turned up, which made the entire sound field very unbalanced. I also turned off the DRC setting in the soundbar and PS3, but I'm not sure if that helped. I did both of these at the same time and got a much more balanced, evened out sound.
