Anyone know any good settings for the Samsung LN-T4069F? The picture is pretty good right now, but I feel its lacking something. If anyone could chime in I'd appreciate it.

This post from avs seems pretty popular for XX61/65 owners. I used these settings on my xx65 and have really enjoyed them, they're at least a good starting point.

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showp...postcount=1499

Hope this helps!

Edit: Opps! Just saw Bganga's post to the same thread, but different post

From AVS for the LN-T4042H
This may save you from reading over 100 pages in the thread. This seams to be the settings that are agreed on.

Picture: Movie
Contrast: 80
Brightness: 44
Sharpness: 15
Color: 56
Tint: G54-R46
Backlight: 4
Color Tone: Warm1
Black Adjust: Medium
Dynamic Contrast: Off
Gamma: 0
Color Space: Wide
White Balance: 15 All
Color Control: 15 All
Edge Enhancement: Off
Digital NR: Auto
HDMI Black Level: Low
Energy Saving: Auto

When viewing from a PS3
-Standard Mode-
Contrast - 90
Brightness 41
Sharpness - 20
Color - 53
Tint - G50/R50
Backlight - 5
Color Temperature - norm
DNR - off
Dynamic Contrast - Low
Gamma - (-1)
Color Space - Auto
White Balance:
RO - 21
GO - 22
BO - 24
RG - 17

BG - 5
My Color Control: default (all at 15)
HDMI Black Level - Low
Energy Saver Mode - off

I wound up using the second list and made some modifications to Contrast and Brightness for my personal use.

Could someone please give me some advise on the best settings for my SAMSUNG LCD HDTV? It's the SAMSUNG LA32S81BX. I have it connected through the HDMI and I run it at 720p. I just can't seem to find a setting that I like. No matter how much I tweak the settings the image always ends up either too bright or too dark. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this. Also, what would be the recommended settings with a PS3/Xbox 360 hooked up to this TV? Please keep in mind that it's through the HDMI connection.

I beleave that the settings that I posted above are for all of the LN-T40__-_ Group. These settings got me close to what I liked. Your room lighting will make a difference on what you need to set your backlighting and brightness setting at.

Again, from AVS:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...=901174&page=2

Picture

Mode: Standard
Contrast 88
Brightness 50
Sharpness 40
Color 55
Tint 50
Backlight 8 (This is fully adjustable by you. I enjoy 8. Keeps my movies bright and my blacks black. If its too bright for you, turn it down, if you want brighter, crank it up)
Color Tone: Cool1

Detailed Settings
Black Adjust: High
Dynamic Contrast: Medium
Gamma: 1
Color Space: Wide

White Balance
R-Offset: 13
G-Offset: 15
B-Offset: 17 (Lower this to 14 if you have too much blue tint)
R-Gain: 12
G-Gain: 13
B-Gain: 13 (Might want to try raising this if you touch the B-Offset)

My Color Control
Pink 15
Green 15
Blue 15
White 20 (Increase this for a bit more white if you want or decrese it if you find white skin tones look to white and not pearchy enough.)

Edge Enhancement: On
xvYCC: Greyd out (set to off)

Size: Just Scan
Digital NR: Off
Active colour: greyed out (off)
DNIe: On
Auto Motion Plus 120Hz: Off (This setting doesent really matter with the colour, it doesent seem to work for me without sttutering on the xbox 360 (works for games tho) and I have no blu-ray or stand alone HD-DVD or HD playback capable PC to test it to see if it still stutters. The actual mode does work (smooths out the video) but like I said, unwatchable with stuttering. Even without stuttering Its still a matter of opinion if you would want to watch a film this way.

Setup
Game mode: Off
Energy Saving Off
HDMI Black Level Low (Note I have my xbox 360 set to Standard black reference level here. If your 360 is set with a higher reference level, turn this off (see my next post for more detail.)

I only use my TV + PS3 for playing PS3 games and Watching Blu-Ray movies... I have cable hooked up but never watch it.

If anyone could recommend settings for my TV that would be awesome.

Also... I coulda sworn there was 2 different menu's on the TV for adjusting settings but i can only get into the one right now...

NOTE: After calibration, color was diminished beyond what I personally thought looked good. I adjusted color up a couple of notches after calibration to meet my color standard. Calibration made a noticeable difference in diminished heat output. Blu-Ray looks phenomenal.
I have a bunch of flat screens for home and business. I came across this site that has suggested settings that I think add some nice perspective to all the data that everyone is putting up here. I found these for the Samsung FP-T5084 http://www.tweaktv.com/component/opt...9&model_id=120
