There is a website that has listings for several TVs that were ISP calibrated. Kevin Miller runs the site and updates various TVs that he or his staff have calibrated. He also posts a disclaimer that it is not a substitute for a professional ISP calibration and the settings may not be "perfect" because of variations from TV to TV, but it should give you a better picture. The website is www.tweaktv.com

Hello all. Just bought this new model, havent even gotten it installed yet (tommorow its going in), and I wanted to know if any of you have some optimal settings for this tv. I found a couple online, but I'd like some more opinions.
It is connected via HDMI cables to cable, and eventuall will be connected to a playstation 3. No current surround sound is connected. I havent even turned the tv on yet so whatever stock settings are implimented from the company are still in effect. Much appreciated. Michael Last edited by LB_SpecV; 06-11-2008 at 08:37 PM. |

Bro, way off from your taste. Ya think that's a bit subjective to make a statement like, "It's way off"? What does my last comment say after calibration? You may need to tweak it to cater to your taste. You need to go back and read-up on why you calibrate in the first place. That would require some research though. You up to it?

Here are some settings pulled off of AVSforums.com. The video settings below apply for all LNAxx550(xx means your size TV) models. They are considered the best settings possible for the TV. Also, I included some audio settings, which may help improve any sound quality problems you're having with the TV speakers.
Video Settings: (This with the mode at movie) Backlight = 6 Contrast = 85 Brightness = 49 Sharpness = 0 Color = 50 Tint = G50/R50 DETAILED SETTINGS: Black Adjust = Off Dynamic Contrast = Off Gamma = 0 Color Space = Custom Red: R33 - G0 - B0 Green: R18 - G52 - B0 Blue: R11 - G0 - B51 Yellow: R49 - G53 - B0 Cyan: R22 - G46 - B56 Magenta: R37 - G0 - B43 Flesh Tone = 0 Edge Enhancement = Off Xycc = Off WHITE BALANCE: R-Offset = 26 G-Offset = 25 B-Offset = 22 R-Gain = 30 G-Gain = 25 B-Gain = 25 PICTURE OPTIONS: Color Tone = Warm 2 Digital N/R = Off HDMI Black Level = Low (actually it's disabled when playing Blu-ray) Film Mode = off (disabled) Blue Mode = Off Energy Saving = Medium Entertainment modes = Off Audio: Mode: Custom SRS TruSurround XT: On Auto Volume: On TV Speaker: On (# of clicks): Balance: 0 100Hz: 8 clicks right 300Hz: 8 left 1kHz: 4 left 3kHz: 3 right 10kHz: 5 right Hope this helps. ![]() |
