There is a website that has listings for several TVs that were ISP calibrated. Kevin Miller runs the site and updates various TVs that he or his staff have calibrated. He also posts a disclaimer that it is not a substitute for a professional ISP calibration and the settings may not be "perfect" because of variations from TV to TV, but it should give you a better picture. The website is www.tweaktv.com

Smile Optimal Settings For LN-46A650

Hello all. Just bought this new model, havent even gotten it installed yet (tommorow its going in), and I wanted to know if any of you have some optimal settings for this tv. I found a couple online, but I'd like some more opinions.

It is connected via HDMI cables to cable, and eventuall will be connected to a playstation 3. No current surround sound is connected. I havent even turned the tv on yet so whatever stock settings are implimented from the company are still in effect.

Much appreciated.

Michael

i find that samsung t.v's need lots of adjustment when purchased. !

when i first got mine and plugged in my ps3 i found motorstorm to be extremely dull, the back of the veicles were completely back.. after adjustment to contrast and brightness this all helped though!

Bro, way off from your taste. Ya think that's a bit subjective to make a statement like, "It's way off"? What does my last comment say after calibration? You may need to tweak it to cater to your taste. You need to go back and read-up on why you calibrate in the first place. That would require some research though. You up to it?

Model : M81

hdmi black level : low

for real black & white levels also for colors in games but for movies you have to change it as you wish

recommended for ps3 owners & sdtv channels fans

Default I've never calibrated my TV!

I just went to my TV menu today to screw around and saw I had it set to Dynamic with the standard settings! My TV is the Samsung TX-S2782H. I'm too impatient to go out and buy a calibration disc and am too cheap to pay $400 on a TV that practically is worth less than that. If you can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Here are some settings pulled off of AVSforums.com. The video settings below apply for all LNAxx550(xx means your size TV) models. They are considered the best settings possible for the TV. Also, I included some audio settings, which may help improve any sound quality problems you're having with the TV speakers.

Video Settings:

Brightness = 49
Sharpness = 0
Color = 50

Xycc = Off

WHITE BALANCE:

R-Offset = 26

PICTURE OPTIONS:

There's like a hundred pages of settings by various members. Which one is the best or among the best? Please help. I'm just looking through them and there are so many posts.

Look two posts above yours. That is the best and most accurate setting for that model line of TV.
