- Without a Trace (not to be confused with the US TV drama series), airing on Channel Five on Wednesday 7th December at 10.35 pm - 11.35 pm.

Updates:

The new, second series of Cold Case Killers is starting on 5Star a week tomorrow (Thursday 15th December) at 9 pm - 10 pm.

Without a Trace is a one-off documentary/true crime documentary (airing tonight). Previously, I wasn't sure if it was a one-off documentary or a mini-series/series.

There was one further new edition of the fifteenth series of The Yorkshire Vet left to be shown on Channel Five (some TV listings incorrectly stated this series/season had come to an end, but the Facebook page for the show said there were two more new editions still to be shown. The first of those was shown two weeks ago yesterday (Tuesday 22nd November), with a repeat from Series 10 shown a week ago last Tuesday (29th November). In it's place this week is Winter on the Farm: Live.

Airing next Tuesday night (13th December) is the second of the aforementioned two new editions (at 8 pm - 9 pm).

Watching one-off documentary Without a Trace, and it turns out that like other one-off documentaries which have aired on Channel Five, the actual title is sometimes different. It's actually called The Disappearance of Lee Boxall: Missing or Murdered, but is billed in the TV listings as Without a Trace. At the ad bumpers it's also called Missing or Murdered.

United Kingdom Christmas on the Farm

Usually it's filmed well in advance of Christmas, but the 'like live' parts inbetween the features in tonight's Christmas on the Farm special (centred around Cannon Hall Farm in Yorkshire) look to have been filmed since last Saturday's Strictly final (it's been referred to in the past tense).

Posting this in the past tense (they're available in the Channels section on Sky's Catch up TV section, where it's a group of channels including Quest Red), but following two new editions of true crime documentary series Signs of a Psychopath tonight (9 pm - 10 pm) was new feature-length documentary/true crime documentary The Tiger King Disappearance: The Friends Speak (aired at 10 pm - midnight).

If it had been like normal, it would have been shown towards the start of this year. Again, this new season will be shown on Monday to Friday nights over the course of a few weeks. The bonuses this time are a repeat airing of each new edition in the early hours of the morning at 3 am - 3.45 am, with the season being shown in the same order it was shown in the States on CBS (instead of being shown in a jumbled-up order). In addition, having checked EpGuides and the IMDb, on the latter there were some other new editions shown in the States mid-week, as well as in the usual Saturday night timeslot on CBS. Will be intrigued to see the total number of episodes being shown by CBS Reality, and if these will include the out-of-season new editions. It starts a week tomorrow (Tuesday 1st November) at 8 pm - 9 pm.

To my surprise, CBS Reality will be showing Season 35 of news documentary series 48 Hours (the 2021-22 season) earlier than I expected, much earlier. The new season gets it's (I assume) UK TV premiere on CBS Reality UK from Monday 16th January, 2023. It's airing in the Mondays to Fridays 8 pm - 9 pm timeslot again, with a repeat airing the following day usually in the 3 am - 3.45 am timeslot.

Sadly, CBS Reality aren't showing (by the looks of it) three out-of-season editions (*) which originally aired in the States in late August to early September, 2021 (inbetween Season 34 and Season 35).

Source: the TV Guide section on CBS Reality UK's website.

(*) The three out-of-season editions:

"The Circleville Letters"
"The Secrets of Chad Daybell's Backyard"
and "The Black Swan Murder?".

United Kingdom True crime documentaries on Sky Crime

During tonight's new edition of true crime documentary series An Unexpected Killer (the season finale next week), there was a promo trailer for a new true crime documentary/mini-series/series coming soon to Sky Crime, called Fred West: The Glasgow Girls.

Starting on Sky Crime next Sunday night is new four-part true crime documentary mini-series The Hillside Strangler: Devil in Disguise. It was originally scheduled to start on the channel this coming Wednesday or Thursday night, but has now been moved to next Sunday night. Like with some past true crime programmes on Sky Crime, the first two parts of The Hillside Strangler: Devil in Disguise will probably get their first airing at 2 am next Sunday morning.

In the new issue of TV & Satellite Week (Saturday 21st to Friday 27th January, 2023) this feature-length true crime documentary has been stated as being "new" in next Tuesday night (24th January)'s TV listings for Channel Five. But having looked at the Sky TV listings for next Tuesday night earlier, it's not been classed as new, and I suspect it's a repeat airing on Channel Five.

I thought another true crime documentary about the Hillside Strangler case had aired on UK TV last year but wasn't sure, and that maybe the true crime documentary on Sky Crime was a repeat. Having checked this thread for any prior posts mentioning true crime documentaries about the Hillside Strangler case, the four-part true crime documentary starting this coming Sunday night is new (the same case but a different true crime documentary).

Checked Sky Crime's listings for this coming Sunday, and as I thought, the first two parts will premiere first on the channel at 2 am - 4.05 am, before being repeated later on at 9 pm - 11.05 pm.
