Future Shop might still have it as long as you have been a registered online client and purchased online (If you did, check your online account). When purchased in store, it gets trickier from what I experienced. They don't necessarily track ownership through all store purchases (again depends how much info was originally given) But if you purchased on credit card and are lucky enough to have the date of the transaction, I was told they could find it like this.

Don't know if it's the only way, but it worked for me

Was forgetting to add, I had my CC statement, so an invoice # (Find this, you're set)

Edit: If you had an ext warranty, try with that also

Hope you do find it. FS will be helpful

Default Strange yellow push on SXRD

Found my receipt -- whew! I had contacted Future Shop, but the extremely helpful woman was having a hard time finding that specific purchase. Found the tv I bought from them in the year 2000, but couldn't find this one for some reason. She even called me back twice to get more info to conduct searches. Excellent customer service!

So I'm about to send in the info to them, but I thought I'd include the pics I'll be sending them. The hockey screenshot isn't as bad as the screenshot from the episode of Ressurection, but it's still plenty awful.

Surprisingly, Sony responded today! And I'm accepting the resolution they offered, though I'm bound by a confidentiality agreement not to elaborate further. But I'm quite pleased, especially considering this SXRD has lasted me 10 years before going green.

Hallelujah! :-)

Thanks for all the advice, everyone!

Whatever the outcome is, awesome news. And those pics were def horrible enough Luckily Sony still does "Goodwill" considering the state of affairs with this division bleeding them to death, and they're still possibly the best CS of the majors.

Yeah, I do consider myself lucky. My wife mused about pushing Sony for a better offer, but I figure many HDTVs don't last people 10 years, right? Mine did, and they still offered a nice settlement. No need to push further.

While I don't respect Sony much for releasing these SXRD sets knowing full well there was a flaw with them, I do respect Sony TVs in general, and wouldn't be bothered getting a new Sony HDTV. Looking at their Canadian website, I see only four in my price range ($1200-2200). I'm not sure which of them I'd go for at the moment, though. Research time is upon me, I guess!
