PS4 Last of Us Remastered Multiplayer Thread

Love the MP on the PS3 version. Now it's time to have a thread for the Remastered version for the PS4. Who's going to jump online this evening? I will be playing this game a lot when I'm available.

There used to be a MP thread back in the day when the PS3 version came out, wonder what happened to that one?

I'm hopefully getting this game day one so count me in on some MP action. May need some practice though.

Noticed that the foul language is toned down a lot during MP compared to the PS3 version.

Also the DLC Maps Silver Trophies are much easier to achieve now that you can die as many times as long as you're able to get at least 5 kills/executions where the PS3 version. You can't die and you have to get 3 kills/executions to get the trophies which is almost impossible unless you have online friends to help you. I was able to get 2 of the Silver trophies this evening without any problems.

I was on a roll last night. I was playing Survival, and I was the last man standing against 3 opponents. All 3 guys were chasing me down and luckily I had a Molotov Cocktail. I turned around and threw it and killed all 3. Damn I was lucky because that was a nice comeback win for the team.

Too bad I forgot to record/share it.

Do you understand the game's scoring, though? In a round yesterday, I had the most downs, 2nd-most executions and we each had 1 revive and I was...4th. Whaa? I'm relatively new to the MP, is there something you collect as well? (was playing Survivors).

Every kill and/or down will drop parts on the ground that you need to pick up. These parts are what determine your ranking in the match. If you don't pick them up, they don't count.

You will only get parts for downs if the target gets executed. For example, if you down an enemy and his teammate revives him, no parts. If you down an enemy and you finish the crawler off, you get parts. If you down an enemy and your teammate finishes off the crawler, both you AND your teammate get parts (likewise the other way around). This is why I usually always work with a teammate so that we can both get parts. If they down someone, I kill that target. If I down someone, my teammate will kill that target. Double progress for the team.

Well said from Petra_Kalbrain.

For me I use high level perks such as Crafter, and First Aid Training to get most of my parts to help boost my Parts. If someone on my team is low on health I get cheap Parts by healing them.
