Have you tried going back to the store and talking to the manager? I've had similar deals pop up the week after I buy a big electronics purchase, and most times they've worked with me. It's worth a shot at least.

From what I hear you need "1.4" HMDI, which is really just a high-speed cable. The "standard" versions don't have the output needed for 3D.

Any DLP-link glasses work. You need 3DTV, Glasses, 3D player (like PS3) and 3D content. If you don't have a true 3DTV, you need a converter, but the 738/838 with firmware update are true 3DTVs.
According to what I heard on another part of the forums, a 1.3 cable isnt necessary, Ill call HHGregg, where I bought the tv, and find out what they have to say. Maybe mitsubishi itself. I wasnt planning on getting the 3d upgrade for my tv for a long time, so I hope this is the update that I was needing. Is there any real difference in the glasses you get? Like do some give better 3d than others, or are they all pretty much the same? Where would be a good place to buy them. I was looking around and saw places that have them for almsot 25$ less than in stores, and they had good seller reviews, but I just want to make sure.

No, I havent done that yet. Mainly because I gpt a great deal on it already. They had the wrong model number listed for the tv that was on display, so I got it about 300$ cheaper than I should have.

Called Mits today and talked to a sales rep. They said that the converter box is no longer needed. Just thought I would let everyone know so that there is no more uncertainty about it.

The glasses do matter. Some glasses may not work with the mitsu correctly. I can't remember where but at AVS I read about a pair of 3D glasses that were fairly cheap and worked great with the Mitsu's.

looked great, but the dept seemed to not be as apparent on the 82 as my friends plasma 58 v25. I will have to go with the 73 seeing on space, but am i out of my mind to leave my 60 lcd for a 73 dlp wd-73737? Which is the better PQ? Need advice, seems alot are saying the DLP is dated. it is worth going to the dlp 3d?

Hmmmmm, not sure exactly what to tell you. I have demoed the 82838 and thought the 3D was fantastic on it but also thought the 2D pic wasn't as good as LCD or plasma's. Now if I would have bought it though I might have changed my mind after seeing it in my house environment and changing settings. It just seemed like at the store there was a lot of noise in the pic and/or I was seeing the SSE. Like I said though it could have been due to how they had it setup and I think they were using a dvd and not a blu-ray to demo it. The 3D was flawless though.

I love the size of the 82" and the recently announced 92". However, I'd rather have better pq than bigger size. If there is something you think has better pq then go with that. If you think the Mits has comparable pq go with that since it has way more size and size is king, especially with 3D.
