Hey guys, I have a Mistubishi wd65735. Not wanting to buy the EXPENSIVE Mitsubishi 3d pack, I purchased the A1 Adapter and looked on Amazon for glasses and an emitter. Well, after TWO tries, I still have the same problem: FLICKER!!! The glasses flicker so visibly, especially when going from a dark scene to a white scene, that it drives me NUTS!! I have my tv hooked up to a PS3. I borrowed a friend's 3d player to see if I would have the same results and yup, FLICKERING!!! I know active shutter glasses can flicker lightly, but mine go CRAZY!! I even brought the glasses and emitter to a relatives' house who has the same setup(a newer Mitsu DLP and a PS3) and still saw crazy amount of flickering. Can someone tell me if they purchased the Mitsu 3d starter pack and experienced flickering? i'm about to get a new tv because I love 3d but can't watch it!! any suggestions!!! HELP!!

If you're using IR glasses with a pre-2010 Mitsubishi DLP TV, that's the problem. I've read about it countless times on avsforum. I have a 2009 model 65735, Panasonic BDT100 3D BD player and TrueDepth 3D DLP glasses. No flicker what so ever. The problem is with pre-2010 Mits DLP's, you can't shut off the DLP-Link system, where as with 2010+ models you can, and they can use IR glasses with no problems. Get some DLP link glasses and you'll be happy

![]() ![]() ![]() To answer your question, yes your TV does have a DLP-link. If it's a 2009 or older model, DLP-link cannot be turned off and you must use DLP-link glasses. If it's 2010 or newer, the DLP-link can be turned off and IR glasses can be used. One more thing I'm not sure you're aware of, the 2009 and older models will only recognize the checkerboard 3D format. The Mitsubishi adapter converts all 3D signals to checkerboard so the TV will understand and display it properly, and no emitter is necessary. I only know of certain Panasonic 3D BD players that will output checkerboard, which I have the BDT100 and it works perfect. The 2010 and newer Mitsubishi DLPs can read all formats of 3D signal, not just checkerboard so no adapter is necessary for those. |
