Actually— the rated version may be the smarter play.

I’ve noticed that, for the most part, theatrical versions tend to get 4K upgrades more frequently— especially moreso with comedies.

Ex. Pineapple Express

Plus, it’s only a 3 minute difference between the two cuts

Anyone that likes 80's slasher flicks should check out The Zero Boys. It's $4.99 in the Arrow sale.

If I didn't know better, I'd think it was a modern day parody. It's so over-the-top and filled with 80's cliches. But it's actually from 1986 and filmed on the set of Friday The 13th Part 3.

It's not a great movie, but fans of cheesy 80's nostalgia will enjoy it.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/id1295820650

It's also available on Amazon Prime if you want to check it out before buying.

Sweet. Glad to hear.i was looking into this and society yesterday.

Wish they were more consistent with the iTunes extras like someone else said earlier. Wonder what the odds of them ever adding them to their releases in the future are....

Anyone care to comment on the SD quality of Deep Space Nine and Voyager ?

As compared to the DVDs and Netflix I guess.

I was happily surprised with Deep Red it includes the International Version (It's called Alt Version in Extras) from the Limited Edition Blu-ray set!

And

Reanimator includes the Integral Cut! Which is a sweet deal for $4.99 (and I missed out on the Limited Edition Blu-ray set!)

Deep Red is a giallo masterpiece. Best movie in the sale.

Sweet. Guess I'll cap it all off with the crazies, the zero boys, deep red, and the bird.

Thanks

I was thinking about purchasing Deep Red and was wondering if it has English subtitles since the audio is in Italian but iTunes store does not mention anything about including English subtitles in the description. Does it include English subtitles? If not, is it an easy movie to understand just from the actions of the characters?

I was thinking about purchasing this, but I'm not sure since it's the theatrical release and there is an unrated version that maybe I should hold out for a $4.99 sale on that one instead. Does the unrated version add substance to the movie or does it just add parts that seem that they don't belong in the movie or are the extra parts don't match the image quality of the rest of the movie?

Deep Red has English subtitles burnt in. It also includes the English audio version. It's listed as International Cut in the Extras.

I don't think the US iTunes store offers any foreign movies that don't include either English subtitles or audio.

It's funny (or not) that Zero Boys was one I had been waiting on for a while and I expected would be my top pick, but when I saw Deep Red and the Female Prisoner series on sale, had to pick those up. Especially Female Convict Scorpion series as I never picked up the box set. Might still pick it up, it's a lot of fun.

I wish there were more new movies for $4.99 like Dark Tower is now.

So many random price drops tonight. Don’t know what the theme is yet.

I dunno, I've been burned by these cheap $4.99 Season 1 deals before, just to see a great deal for "The Complete Series" a few months later...

No more! I decree

The complete series is $48.99 right now (vs its usual $80, according to CheapCharts).

Phenomenal show, by the way!
