Default picture problems on Sony Grand Wega KDF-46E2000?

I just received my new lamp today & there seems to be a pinkish color at the top part of the screen. I'm pretty sure it was yellow nearing the end of the old lamp. I can't recall when the yellow started showing though. Does anyone know what would be causing this? I don't recall seeing it when I first got the tv about 6 years ago. Is it a sign of something wrong or just something in need of an adjustment. Any thoughts, comments or help would be greatly appreciated, just keep it simple I'm not a tech geek

Sounds like your optical block is now going bad. Do a google search for Sony's SXRD models and you will see that they were hit with a class action lawsuit over the failure rate of the optical blocks and the OB seems to work fine up to the point when you replace the lamp. Read the below for info on the lawsuit.

Yes sir, I bought the 60" model A2000 in 2006 and it died in Dec 2011.

I bought the 50A2020 in September of 2006 and had four optical blocks, five bulbs, and a bad fan. I replaced it last year and I literally went office space on it when I trashed it. It had a beautiful picture when it worked but it was terribly unreliable. I'm glad it was just a bedroom TV or I would have tossed it long before I did.
