I would love to see Larraz's Deviation get similar treatment.

Is there any plan for the Mill of the Stone Women on Blu-ray? It will come out in Germany, but would love the MM version if it's in the pipeline.

The Subkultur release is region free, so it seemed unlikely to me. Three different cuts of the movie, hard to pass on that for such a great movie.

The US rights to MILL have fallen into a murky area that has to be mucked out before we can do another release of it. So, no plans at the moment.

Us too. But the rights situation for most of those great early Larraz films are a mess.

Thanks for the reply.
It's unfortunate that the film cannot be re-released due to the rights mess. Hope everything is sorted out & you guys can one day release this wonderful film on Blu-ray!

There are 3 cuts of the film (4 if you count the German dubbed version), but the French one does not appear to have any English option. Also, the Italian version does not appear to have the English subtitles, meaning we are stuck with the English audio (I wonder which English audio - American or European?).

I hoped MM could have released it, but sadly it's out of the option now. I guess I have to order it since this is truly a great film & a favorite of mine!

That stuff is pretty interesting, but I'm sure it would be difficult to track down proper materials and/or rights owners.

So yeah, no African cinema on the horizon, but we did just sign our first Asian title in many years! First Asian title on blu too. Pretty obscure and weird horror film from the 1980s, from a country we've never "visited" before.

More Asian weirdness is a great thing, no matter the country. Hopefully at some point you guys are able to go back to the goldmine of Indonesian films begging for a proper release.

I've seen some of the African stuff. A lot of it was shot on video, from what I saw and have read. There was some kind of museum thing going on when I was at SIU and they were playing the films on a loop. Might've been trailers? Can't recall now, it's been years. Weird, for sure, but highly amateur. A lot of quickies. I suppose there could be some gems among them, though.

Just wanted to give my thanks again to MM, and to say how great this LE release of Symptoms is.

Very grateful that you guys are continuing to release great, crazy, obscure films from around the world. My favorite label without question.

Can't wait to put in my pre-order for the Private Vices, Public Virtues LE.

Any chance the date for pre-ordering Private Vices Public Virtues will get mentioned here before becoming available?

I'm almost 100% positive Jared will give a heads up here, but if needed, they will absolutely announce it on their Facebook page. I keep a close eye on any Mondo Macabro news/updates I can, so I'll even post it as soon as I see anything (but again, pretty sure Jared will give this forum a heads up).

And if interested, their last update indicated they are still taking care of a few last minute details before putting the pre-order link up. Shouldn't be long now.

Just awaiting the final encode from Lyris, and confirmation from a new printer on the booklet, and then we will put up the pre-order.

Trying to make it a short turn-around from pre-order to shipping this time.

The good news is the wait will hopefully allow me to put up copies of the German blu of MILL OF THE STONE WOMEN (we have no plans of our own at this time), and the first DVD from the new label specializing in Turkish films, Aztek, at the same time.

We may do a sale then as well.

Hopefully early next week.

Between the Arrow sale, B&N Criterion sale, Severin's 50% sale and now this excellent news, it's like Christmas (or is it rather I am broke like it is Christmas)

I'm hoping I can make it on Saturday. Would be a real treat to see this on a big screen.
