I'll try to get a few pictures up later today. I have to resize them down a bit in PS.

Going to order a few things from Opteka on Friday. Fisheye and probably get the lens adapter from Lensmate. I got the Hakuba screen protector on Saturday and it's great for a 3" screen!

If you decide to get a SmugMug account let me know. I can give you my referral and you'd save $5.

My wife has her own site that we bought through Dreamhost and it's pretty cheap with unlimited bandwidth. She's going to setup an area where I can link pics.

Anyone here know how to do HDR or a good way to start off on it?
As Kirsty said, Photomatix Pro is probably the most popular option at the moment and has been for a while for HDR/Tone Mapping.

There's a shedload of tutorials on the net for the software, though the best way to learn is to just experiment.

I'm going to play around with Slow Sync today and then try for HDR after I get my Gorillapod. When I get into HDR I want to use at least 3 RAW images.

Photomatix Pro will process 16-bit TIFF's. Some people bracket on the camera which will gain the best results, but others use one RAW image, and lower/raise the exposure in Camera Raw/PS to gather the necessary images. Some pretty amazing results can be had from a single RAW image using this method !

Yeah I can do RAW on the G10 and try it out but I'd rather use multiple images and adjust the exposure by hand in manual. Which is why I want to wait for the tripod.

Any tips for Slow Sync?

Not mine

I was at a baby shower Saturday and that poor Mustang was just sitting there in the back yard ignored. I asked the owner about it and he said he doesn't have the funds to do anything. I told him my uncle is doing his in his own garage and the only thing he needs to send out is the motor for a rebuild.

If you have the time, try doing something different under different lighting situations (like sunset or when it is relatively dark) with your Mustang, man. That car has too much attitude not to play around or experiment with, man.

Yeah it was around noon when I took the front shot and I was going to take another one after sunset but we ended up leaving.

I was playing around with slow sync last night. Used 2nd curtain and set exposure time to 1". Some interesting results.

I'm going to try it out more at a club I'm going to next week and shoot some break dancers. This weekend I might goto the museum so hopefully I get some nice shots there too. You can take pictures at most museums as long as you don't use a flash right?

Damn you Canon. The week after I buy my G10 you announce the G11!!!!

They dropped the MP down to 10.0 to get rid of noise pollution at the higher ISO's. They also reintroduced the articulating screen from the earlier G series.

MSRP : $499.99

The G10 was released I believe in September or October of last year. So, it should not be a surprise that the G11 has been announced. I would expect the G11 to be released in September or October.

October is the date everyone is thinking. Don't get me wrong I love the G10 so far, I'm not getting another camera until I get a DSLR though.

Weird, no HD video for the G11.

I just saw the G11 news yesterday. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah I'm not too worried because I don't shoot above ISO 200 anyway. But the screen would have been a nice feature.

Seriously, I think you should start thinking about D-SLR right around now.

I'll get one next year when I have more money for lenses and other requirements.

I got the G10 because I don't want to lug a bag around everywhere. Though I wouldn't mind it.

We have another car cruise Friday with even more people so I'll be doing a mini photo shoot with the G10 since I'm getting my Gorillapod before we go.

I've never attempted Slow Sync personally Mike - but it sounds like fun ! The breakers should be the perfect subject matter for it though I reckon - movement of the crowd blurring while the flash freezes the breaker doing a 1990, windmill or headspin should rock ! Look forward to seeing those.

Those G10 images look lurvely btw.

Here's some of my later ones, even though I've had naff all time to take any recently.
