Nice, still have The Iceman Cometh on DVD in its wrapper somewhere but can comfortably sell that on now! Vigilante sounds up my street, and will be interested in Maniac eventually (Ebola Syndrome sounds...a bit much for me tbh!).

No Miami Vice though?

You can get Vinegar Syndrome stuff in their sales & also do MULTIPLE orders whilst ONLY paying for P&P ONCE by adding to existing order. That way you can get a lot of US VS stuff quite cheaply.

Will the Cannibal Holocaust release be a dual format release or seperate UHD & BD releases? Would be cheaper if they did the former.

I wonder how long it'll be till Grindhouse upgrade it to UHD in the US & Ideally include the LONGER version of the soundtrack with all the bonus tracks etc that Beat Records released.

The Grindhouse Releasing edition isn't 4K though (although I suppose they might release a 4k edition at some point). I think it can be argued that there's a lot of people who don't want to import from the US, even region free discs. 88Films' price might factor in for people if it's cheaper and people can avoid importing.

There's also a lot of people who don't care for the animal cruelty. This film has a lot to offer besides it's animal death shock factor. I feel like there's a lot more people being vocal about appreciating cruelty free cuts of movies. I understand that some people disagree strongly about movies being cut, and that's fine, because as you say, the uncut version IS available anyway, so I don't think there's any reason to feel like anyone's a victim of censorship. Everyone can have their prefered version.

I think it would be self-centered to think that because one doesn't agree with cut versions, that there's no market of people who DO want to watch it cut.

Also, a lot of people double dip for extras, I suppose that could factor in as well.

Personally, I have the Grindhouse Releasing already, and I never double dip, and while I appreciate extras, I don't buy for extras, so I won't buy this new CH release.

It is good to see more obscure Italian films getting released instead of the usual ones with the re-releases.

I hope we get more gialli next like Death Carries a Cane.

Really do not understand why 88 won’t just announcing these properly…… they don’t have to announce them with confirmed release dates or extras, just announce them.

What happens if a newer release of a film has a version that's NOT included in the one you have or they fixed problems with the current release e.g. UK releases of Jess Franco's The Erotic Rights of Frankenstein (alternate version) or Jess Franco's The Demons (problem example).

I'm more concerned with it being released in its 100% and uncut form than I am with deluxe packaging. Cannibal Holocaust in UHD is cool and all, but does it really matter if it's going to be neutered in order to appease the BBFC?

With the Grindhouse Releasing package out there, this UHD is about as pointless as it gets.
