I'd be very surprised if it was cut. The only bits left to restore are a strangulation and a stabbing. Both were imo rather token cuts due to the film's reputation - lots of nastiness was left in - and I can't think of any legal reason why they'd be cut now given the type of material we've seen passed since its last submission.

In terms of any 'sexualised' violent content, I'd say the former scene doesn't really qualify as that and the latter is on a similar level to the 'Continental' version of Satan's Slave's opening murder, though less sexualised (and for me less unpleasant) than the latter.

We’ll soon find out. Obviously I hope it’s uncut for the sake of UK censorship. But nothing will beat William Lustig’s own 4K UHD from Blue Underground.

We will indeed. I also think House on the Edge of the Park is far worse than Maniac (just my opinion of course) and that was recently (somehow!) passed intact.

Not that I'm bothered. I have been watching it uncut for nearly 30 years without any help from the BBFC

Sharing the slight puzzlement in the lack of UHD for Maniac and Vigilante. They're using the 4k restorations, and 88 have started to do UHDs now. I know Maniac would probably be a good seller, so what gives?

Oh well, I haven't imported the BU 4ks yet, how good were they?

I believe Yes, Madam, and Royal Warriors are coming as well, though not fully confirmed yet. All of them are coming from Eureka in the UK.

The UHD didn't include a statue like this limited German blu-ray set.

Hopefully 88 make their announcements today because I'm hungry for Cannibal Holocaust art and specs. It'd be cool if they used the notorious VHS artwork, but I expect it'll be something brand new.

For what it’s worth, the Amazon listing does say presented uncut for the first time
