The start of a new decade is soon upon us so it is time to start a new 2020 thread for listing your anime purchases on a monthly basis, just as we've maintained in previous years.

The idea here is to maintain a single Full-Year posting location near the beginning of the thread, and update it regularly throughout the year. Just a few items to keep in mind for this thread:

1. Reserve your initial posts early, so they are more readily accessible!

2. Please adhere to the format that these lists are for ANIME ONLY, and not for Manga, Figures, Books, and Games purchases.

3. Please try to refrain from general comment posts in the thread until after the new year starts - perhaps until January 20 this time around, since I'm starting this thread late this year - I like to give people 4 weeks to get their initial post spaces reserved nearest the beginning of the thread. Thank you for your cooperation!

Those of you who purchase a large amount of anime, or like to use a lot of color formatting in your lists, may want to reserved 2 consecutive posts for your yearly lists, since posts do have a character limit - I like to use a lot of color formatting, so generally I use one for the first six months and one for the second six months of the year.

You may post your monthly/yearly costs for purchases if you like, or just keep a plain list of the anime you purchased each month. It has also now become a regular practice to post up the anime titles you've actually received each individual month, at the end of each month, at the end of the thread. I like being able to keep a record of both anime purchased and anime received each month.

For a bit of context, I mainly buy my anime on DVD to be more cost efficient. Compared to other genres with loads of additional content on Blu-ray formats, the same isn't usually the case for the anime I buy. I do have exceptions to this, such as the Pokémon movies. But other than that, I usually keep to DVD. I even pride myself on owning the DVD only versions of Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia, which are not very easy to find.

I think I will be more reserved with DVD purchases this year. With Sailor Moon wrapped up, Dragon Ball Super's last set in January, and Hunter x Hunter's last set in February, I should only be purchasing Pokémon, Attack on Titan, and My Hero Academia for the majority of the year. But only time will tell!
