They already ARE one of, if not the worst studios for catalogue 4K releases...but one step at a time. I'm not saying that they're going to release EVERYTHING, am I? But this Pixar onslaught is downright ferocious compared to the last two years of timid 4K inertia on Disney's behalf, something's clearly changed at the House of Mouse as regards 4K UHD disc and I likes it, precious. Could it be that they want to get everything out there one last time on physical media before locking it up on Disney+? Maybe. But if in doing so this proves to them that the market is there for 4K physical disc then who knows where that could lead with other catalogue goodies?

Yeah, if there has been one day since the launch of the UHD format where Disney deserves some credit, today is that day.

To add to this, Marvel is releasing Iron Man 1 2 and 3, and Thor 1 and 2 on 4K the same day as well. Really looks like Disney is trying to get everything on 4K very quickly.

Yeah I used to think that they won't release most of their films on 4K, but now I'm pretty much sure that all the Renaissance, post Renaissance films and the Revival films will find their way on 4K pretty soon. I wouldn't be surprised if they released both Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast this year.

The DTS HD MA was excellent with some demo worthy room shaking bass. Hoping the UHD has true Atmos sound.

so are these in-house Pixar remixes or are these done by the Disney Home Video sound folk ?

and yes, the bass when the mine field explosions occur really shake the walls.

And people act like Star Wars isn’t coming out this year...

Iron Man/Thor same day makes perfect sense, if they didn't do that people would just wait for the box set or price to drop after all three come out.

Disney US doesn't do box sets anymore lol

I figured they were doing Thor and Iron Man on the same day along with Endgame to get all the 'big names' done with. After that, they just have the three newer movies that came out just before 4K releases started. Is a little weird SO MUCH Pixar is coming out at the same time though apparently. I'd think they would have spread them out among Toy Story 4 on home video and the two theatrical movies next year.

A reddit user from Australia posted his Pixar collection and it looks like the U.S. is using the same covers for the new 4k releases. Gives us a good idea what the Bug's Life, UP, and Wall-e covers will be!

I think I speak for everyone when I say that both Finding Nemo and Dory will be must-own on 4K Blu-Ray... So many possibilities with that Dolby Atmos sound mix!

Nearly all of them are must-owns for me, but I do have particularly high hopes for the Nemo and Dory. I love the underwater animation and there's some real potential for these to shine on UHD.

Very far from everything. As Geoff mentioned, they are the absolute worst in terms of catalog releases to disc.
