It's the diagrams, cartoons and flow-charts that get on my nerves, it's like a ten year old kid's Power Point presentation to a bunch of five year old kids with click-bait that doesn't go anywhere ...

That's exactly the way to describe it, it's like the pages are flooded with clickbait - only you can't even click on it so what's the bloody point of it being so 'busy'? I sent them a few emails complaining about the new layout and I mentioned the same sort of thing, it's like it's been designed for hyperactive kids or something.

Yes, it is getting worse by the month imo. The font is smaller as well isn't it?

so the email i got said my first issue would be available 12/31/15.

since i live in the states, it also said to allow an additional 6-10 days to receive it.

we're 18 days into the new year and i have yet to get anything.

Since they've essentially stopped doing their Blu Ray at Home Reviews, they won't get another penny from me.

Empire used to be the best film mag out there. I bought it religiously for years (in the 90s). I've managed to collect issues #1-50 (Jun 1989-Aug 1993) but I sold issues #51-100 some years back... and am kinda sorry I did.

The Blu-ray/DVD reviews were pointless, essentially just reprints of their cinema reviews. If they had no intention of reviewing the extras too like they used to do then I'm glad they've decided not to do them anymore. The pages where the reviews used to be are much more interesting IMO devoted to articles related to films due to be released on DVD/Blu-ray (even if the section is weirdly still called 'review').

They've changed their layout again. It's terrible. Perhaps I'm getting too old for this shit. All I want is articles about films, reviews and previews, the other stuff is a waste of time.

Give a five-year-old a film to review? Nope. I'd rather have Gillian McKeith go through one of David Lynch's turds. "There's corn you say? I wasn't expecting that ..."

Does anyone know anywhere that would be interested in my back issues? I don't really want to recycle them.
