I'm wondering if the Yamaha YAS-207 would be a noticeable upgrade over the Bose Solo 5?
I bought the latter when I moved at the start of the year. I paid about $200 but it doesn't sound a ton different than soundbars I've had for half that cost. It's pretty barebones as a unit. I should have done more homework. The YAS-207 is only about $50 more but seems to offer much more bang for the buck including DTS Virtual:X and a standalone wireless subwoofer. Does anyone have experience with these soundbars? Last edited by rdf8585; 06-13-2020 at 05:52 PM. |

Never buy Bose. Overpriced dollar store garbage.
I bought a friend a Yamaha YAS-107 when they were looking for a soundbar and I thought it sounded quite good. I would imagine the 207 sounds a bit more full, with two more woofers added. I would also look at the Denon S216 or the Klipsch BAR 40 in that price range as well. Either one will blow away the Bose. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083JZ9N91 https://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-BAR-S...dp/B07QY4QP8K/ |
