Sonist is another company that makes phase coherent speakers.

With a built in sub, you can place the Quatro where it will image the best, and then "tune" the bass to that location. It has been my experience that the best place for imaging is NOT the best place for the best bass. Also, the Quatros have proven to be easier to drive, as the low bass has it's own built in sub and takes some of the load off of the main amplifier. FWIW, adjusting the angle of the speaker to your listening position is reasonably straight forward with his instructions in the owner's manual. I was "in between" 2 of the spacers and experimented between the 2 to determine the best angle. Well worth the extra effort... |
