Yes, I'm a proud owner of diamond gear across the front and nautilus gear in the back, with the ASW-825 for the LFE. The HTM1D is the most nuanced speaker I've ever heard. But my 802Ds aren't far behind.

Let's just say it's hard for me to go to my friends' houses who have Polk and Def Tech...not that there's anything wrong with that.

How about Polk SDA II's?

I'm thinking about upgrading the tweeters, crossovers and going with separates.

The old Matrix series still sounds great. Matrix 801's for the fronts, Matrix 805's for the rears and an Matrix HTM for the center.

Driver King, please fix the My Setup Link in your sig. It doesn't work.

I was a big fan of Mathew Polk back in the old days when he actually designed his own speakers. I am not sure I like the new mass-produced Polk speakers as much.

I own the vintage Polk RTA15TL. They are a few years younger than your SDA-2's. Your speakers were born in 1984-85. Mine were born in 1990-1991. I bought mine new from the Good Guys store in Los Angeles. Too bad they went out of business. If you haven't already seen them, these are some interesting brochures from the past.

I couldn't tell you why it doesn't work.

The link is right but it keeps cutting it off at the bottom and won't work. I simply can't fix it.

Kingy, Big Daddy - this is Polk's Golden age speakers SDA, SDA-SRS, SDA-CRS and the RTA Line. These are Matthew Polks hallmark speakers - the best stuff he has ever made IMHO. This is good stuff. Recently I placed my 683s from the rubber feet onto spikes - sub no longer occasionally rattles the plinth and the tweeter is now right at ear level for me - some noticeable differences from a little 1.5" height adjustment!

I got there 683's as my fronts and the HTM 7 as my center, I don't know if I have surrounds as I have been in hospital for a week now. But I have no doubt that it will do me 25 years or more.

They aren't as impressive as most of the other production lines by B&W, but the M-1 speakers are a whole hell of a lot of speaker for their compact size!

B&W 801Ds for front R, L

B&W HTM1D center (agree with Gremal about this speaker, but like the 801Ds even better)

B&W CWM8180 (3) for 6.1

B&W ASW850 subwoofer

I moved up from 802Ds and HTM2 to the current setup. VERY pleased with the sound.
