I haven't seen it but ADV did license this Korean title years ago. No idea if the Italian Blu-ray looks good but maybe Sentai will re-release it

https://www.blu-ray.com/My-Beautiful...2962/#Releases

I'd also like to see a new non-edited English friendly Blu-ray for this too (if rescued), since importing isn't currently an option.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Leafi...Blu-ray/41627/

Odd that it's OOP when it's supposedly one of the most successful Korean animation films.

Noticed a bunch of KD Media titles are out of stock at KimchiDVD; maybe they shut down?

I spoke to someone who owns it and except for 1 or 2 words the English subs are otherwise fine.

The rights to Legend of the Overfiend is up in the air from Media Blasters told me. I do think Discotrek should release it because it has a legacy behind it.

There’s also ones like The Haunted House.

Well, the best animated episodes were produced in Japan by some of the best in the entire industry (see Feat of Clay Part II as an example, with animation production credited to TMS, and its standout sequence by Yoshinobu Michihata who did some great work on Akira), so it's kind of anime?

(Sidenote, here's a good read on the series' animation)

I'm well aware. And the Korean company they used for some episodes were so bad the higher ups banned them from being used again, at least that's the story that used to float around back in the day.

Side Note: The Clayface episodes are some of the best animated stories ever made, they made me tear up as a kid, such a great show.

Edit: Korean company was AKOM, just looked it up.

And this is why you buy physical releases and why it sucks Idolm@ster never got one, it and a bunch of other shows (All Aniplex I believe Mekakucity Actors, La Corda d'Oro ~primo, and secondo passo~, Miracle Train, Mitsudomoe, Hourou Musuko Wandering Son, Dog Days, and Ghost Slayers Ayashi) will be leaving the platform
https://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-ne...ng-crunchyroll

I know it's useless to ask someone to license it too, but really wish someone could

(Mekaku City is now on Funimation, wonder if the rest will follow)

They're all Aniplex titles, so as long as Aniplex Japan still has their "Aniplex USA or nothing." mindset, they have no chance of a physical release here. La Corda d'Oro: Primo Passo got DVDs here from Sentai Filmworks, but they're long OOP and we never got Secondo Passo. Ghost Slayers Ayashi has been OOP since Bandai Entertainment left the market in 2012.

Something to note, Dog Days S3 never legally streamed outside of a few countries in Asia.

Good thing about Ghost Slayers Ayashi is that the OOP DVD's can be had for around $40 for all three sets on eBay.

Madman gave it a DVD release in Australia. No idea if it was like Mushishi: Next Passage where it was the TV version with burned-in hardsubs.

I have Madman's DVD release of Mekakucity Actors; it does have burned in hardsubs (annoyingly), but it's the home video version, not the broadcast version. So all the animation and art fixes and changes are present.

Honestly, I'm hoping for the Kirby anime to make a comeback someday with all 100 episodes rather than just the first half.

The Brave Story soundtrack popped up on my phone yesterday while driving. It's a shame we didn't get an US English-friendly release.
