I watched it last night and here are my thoughts.

I actually enjoyed the story. Though at first I was finding it a little boring, it actually turned out to be funny and Charming.

Now for the 3D. Guess the best way to describe it is inconsistent. There were a few scenes that indeed were almost flat, many others that had moderate depth and a number of scenes when the 3D was actually quite good. My response overall was if they just took a little bit more time on the 3D this would have been a very good presentation. It was begging for just a little bit more effort most of the time. Or, as I often call it, ingenuity.

I was expecting the 3D to be worse overall. So I cannot complain completely. But why some scenes really were gorgeous while most of it just seemed to lack effort beyond moderate depth, with a few appearing almost ignored I do not know. So not the total disaster I thought it might be. But as mentioned before, the best way to describe it is inconsistent.

The movie is pretty cool, I was expecting something more cheesy. 3D ranges from weak to medium. It's still nice sometimes though but it would be better if it was more consistent, or just stronger. Regardless of the 3D the movie is very colorful and eye candy at times. The Making Of is all German unfortunately (but still interesting) but the music video is in English, but you need a player that can convert 50 Hz if in NA (e.g. Oppo plays the special features, PS3 kicks you back to the menu). Tentatively recommend due to the dearth of 3D content, not a must own at all.
