Yes, thank you!

Anyone willing to consider a group purchase?

Or anyone willing to translate for me?

It does seem unlikely that Mexico would be the only country to get a Blu-ray 3D release. Should we expect to see other countries begin offering a 3D version? I will wait until someone can verify this is true.

I kinda think the same thing. Hong Kong seems to release the recent 3D Disney titles that haven't gotten a U.S. release:

Frozen
Maleficent
Need For Speed

Weird, cause they released/are releasing their big ones:

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Guardians Of The Galaxy
Thor: Dark World

I'll wait for a bit, too...

Those are all Marvel titles, not Disney titles.

First it's on Amazon France then it gets pulled. Then it's on Sanborns and gets pulled. Starting to feel Disney is Lucy, the football is 3D and we, the consumers, are Charlie Brown.

Wondering what's up again inside Disney's conglomerate sleeve? Exclusive international 3D streaming ambition growing pains? Just seems reminiscent to the similar U.S. Blu-ray 3D pre-order cancellations, pulling Frozen 3D offers, and providing only exclusive U.S. 3D streaming.

Hope Disney has some heart, not internationally shooting out of existance the 3D enthusiast's #1 (Blu-ray 3D) media collection choice.

My whole issue with this is: if the masters are made available in other countries, what's the point of not making it available to all.

Makes zero sense.

Has anyone else's order been cancelled? I haven't made an order yet but it's still listed as available on Sanborns. I think its a bit premature to say they're not taking orders for it on Sanborns anymore.

Marvel is owned by Disney though, MArvel makes their own distribution plans though, hence they aren't effected by disneys recent lack of quality home release support (and this just isn't regarding 3d releases).

It isn't yet releasing in 3d in Australia which is a surprise. I would be amazed if it didn't get one here though (our listings until close to release are notoriously bad).

If that's the case with active, you lose more than half temporally by it shutting black in for every second frame and sometimes more.I will try and find some links which even though they are now old explain things for you..sorry It won't work because I'm using an ipad.

The first is on the displaymate website and the other explanation is in I think Sven de Witt's blog...
Sorry I couldn't link them.
Passive 3d on 1080p sets is 540p. You can't escape that. The difference between 540p and 1080p depending on relative screen size may be a more minor thing for you though. 50" at 10+ foot and it isn't a 'big' difference to many and no you don't loose information temporally with active you still see every frame of the film in each eye.

WRONG; that's like saying 1080i is 540p. It ain't quite 1080p 2D, but then neither is active-shutter 3D.

It's still listed for now at Mixup & Almaraz Records as well as Sanborns. Still, as long as Mexico is the only country in the world with a 3D announcement for this movie, I'll believe it when I see actual 3D copies; cancellations aren't surprising. Remember, The Pirate Fairy (also a Disneytoon title) apparently wasn't released on BD3D anywhere even though it's on 3D streaming sites in the U.S.

Edit: It seems Disney's BD3D pattern for 2014 is: Marvel, OK in BD3D/BD/DC combos (with NO other versions getting DC); mainline Disney (Frozen & Maleficent), not in U.S. & Canada but OK elsewhere; Disneytoon, no BD3D anywhere. (Pixar's only BD3D this year, Ratatouille, was in the UK & France only and Region B-locked; perhaps it'll hit other countries in 2015.)

I think starting next year, Disney may start region locking their 3D blu overseas or just stop releasing 3D blus altogether. They have already done the latter here in the states.

We may get lucky with Big Hero Six...since its based on a Marvel property...seeing a 3D blu in the states. We'll see.
