This week's issue of Kadokawa's Weekly Famitsu magazine is reporting on Thursday that Bandai Namco Entertainment is turning the ongoing Macross Delta television anime into a PS Vita game. The "flight action shooting" game Macross Delta Scramble will ship on October 20.

The game will feature the anime's lead character, the pilot Hayate Immelmann, as well as his variable fighter mecha VF-31J Siegfried with the franchise's signature three modes of transformation the humanoid Battroid, the aerodynamic Fighter, and the intermediate GERWALK. The articles teases that players can dogfight as the anime's Delta Flight.

So Delta is easily going to be the highest-selling show from last season, and most likely until Love Live Sunshine is released. How many Blu-rays are we thinking this week?

Paid ~$184 USD for the set + $23 shipping (via Tenso). All in all about $207 USD with shipping and fees which while pricey, was worth it to me.

I think I'm just gonna see what I can do with the Dynit release first. Could have better PQ than the JP set anyway

This thread has nothing to do with Robotech.

Does anyone have subs for Macross Zero?

You mean, like, raw in a transcript?

Cause I have fansubbed episodes. They're not hard to find.

I need something for Mac, but I do have MKVToolnix. I use it to split the MKV files from Japanese Blu-rays that are always one big title.

-Menu System Includes an Option to go straight to Musical related scenes for those looking to hop to those spots quickly

Bonus Material:

-Creditless OP / ED
-Commentary Track with Cast for Episode 1 (Not Subbed)
-3 Chibi Shorts (Not Subbed)
-Music for Series Trailer
-Short History of Macross (Not Subbed)
-Various Commercials and Preview Trailers for the series (Not Subbed)

Observation:

-English Subtitles are excellent quality. I am wondering if the same person that did the Frontier films for Bandai Visual returned to do Delta's Subtitles
-All songs are subtitled - something that some JP BDs don't bother with that include English Subtitles
-Audio / Video quality is excellent - bitrate seems to float near 40 mbps consistently - there is no glitches with the image at all
-Artbox is a nice sturdy chipboard quality
-If you use the Music Chapter function - whether subtitles are enabled or not - they will be turned off cannot be enabled via that menu function

Show:

Enjoyable - first time seeing it right now with the import. Worth the investment.

Even though I can't get through the first episode, I really wanna support Macross when it releases stuff with English subs.

The only problem now is that I gotta figure out how I can afford the dam series, lol. I could do the Swagbucks/Amazon.com thing like I did with Kill La Kill, but the seller on Amazon wants $90 shipped per disc =/

Looking at those screenshots of the first volume just reminds me how much different the show seems now at the current episode.

Looks like Amazon has the original SDF Macross, Genesis Climber Mospaeda, and Southern Cross available for streaming now.

Harmony Gold. They've released the original shows Robotech is made of multiple times. With ancient masters that will never be improved.

Never seen the series myself outside of some Robotech, I figured they never released the originals with how much people hate Harmony Gold. I figured it was nice to finally have a legal streaming source.

Macross JP BDs + English subs = f**k you HG

Now If only BV would go back and reissue the rest of the franchise in English-friendly editions.

My Macross collection so far:

[Show spoiler]

I've got the ADV Macross DVD boxset as well with the collectors artbox, but that's in storage. I really should get around to picking up the M7 TV series as well, but I really, REALLY can't be bothered!
