Just got a weird email from paypal saying my shipment from Synapse for Living Dead of Manchester Morgue has shipped. But I’ve had the steelbook since July 25th. Anyone else pay with paypal and get an email?

I see that another of Jorge Grau's films, "The Legend of Blood Castle" aka "Blood Ceremony" released in 1973, just one year prior to Manchester Morgue, is being released on blu ray in just three weeks, via Mondo Macabre. I'm totally unfamiliar with it, other than the fact that it is an accounting of the lore of the Hungarian Countess Elizabeth Bathory. Anyone have any insight into whether the film compares favorably with Manchester Morgue?

Blind bought and watched last night. Highly enjoyed it. Picture looked great. Used the 5.1 mix rather than the original mono and thought it was pretty good. Took a little bit to get on with it, but fun once things got rolling. Smarter quicker zombies than usual. Expensive but I was pleased witb the purchase. Highly recommended for zombie fans!

Fans of the film may be interested in this (probably unauthorised) 1980 Korean remake, which the Korean Film Board have just uploaded onto their Youtube channel:
