Since I started buying the Gundam Blu-rays two years ago I've been slowing watching them in release order. I watched G Gundam last Fall and will be watching Gundam Wing next month, so Gundam X is good timing - as long as vol. 2 is out before next Fall.
Hopefully Seed and Seed Destiny will be out by the end of the year so I won't have to skip anything else (0080 was the only one I had to watch out of order). I don't mind skipping the Turn A movies for now but it'll be cool if they were out in time too.

The only DVDs I bought were Gundam Evolve (doesn't seem like something that'd be in HD) and G-Savior (no one seems to seriously think Nozomi will release it so I picked up the old Bandai Visual release. I'd be happy to rebuy it on DVD again cause ex-rentals are gross).

I've been doing nearly the same thing I've seen every UC show thanks to the nozomi releases. And I've seen every AU show from nozomi(and funi) besides Gundam X, Seed and Destiny. I'm saving Turn A for the end since it's supposed to be the end. Hopefully if we get the AU shows out this year I can finally finish the saga with turn a.

Out of all the planned releases this year the most I'm looking forward to is X, the animation looks gorgeous, the mech designs look awesome, I heard the story is dark and from what I've read continually is its aged a lot better than other Gundam shows...like Wing. And its a fresh remaster, more new that even G Gundam, these discs should look realll purty.

I'm getting impatient waiting for SEED. It feels like it was announced so long ago.

Nevertheless I don't suggest the complaints aren't justified. Most issues are avoidable through better diligence by the companies.

Yeah, it feels like it's been awhile. I have a ton of found memories of this one.

How significant is the jump in picture quality between the War in the Pocket DVD and blu-ray? Worth the upgrade or not?

Blu-ray is from a 4K scan. Yeah, pretty big jump.
