If you're looking for sleaziness combined with cartoonishness outside of the "Death Wish" series, go for "Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects". It's kind of like a combo of "Death Wish 2" and "Death Wish 3" IMO in terms of its vibe. That movie is just batshit crazy.
The best line from "Kinjite" is when Bronson's daughter brings home some dude from her high school and they go up to her room, Bronson turns to his wife, with a totally straight face and without a hint of sarcasm and says, "She's up there with that stud." What father calls his daughter's boyfriend a stud haha? Only in a Cannon film. Also, "Kinjite" has one of the sleaziest villains in film history. Also, Bronson plays his role not as his typical laconic badass self, but as more of a bombastic a-hole. It's pretty hilarious. Last edited by mja345; 05-06-2017 at 05:23 AM. |

I actually have always liked V: The Face of Death. I enjoyed Michael Parks as the bad guy, has some decent action. That one is underrated. |

Since the sequels are getting so much love around here, I have to post these now. Whenever you've got some time to kill, sit back, crack open a brew, relax, and prepare to laugh (WARNING: NSFW):

Okay, I think I'm gonna pick up the super cheap blu-ray set containing Death Wish 2, 3 and 4. Shocking I know, but up until now I've only enjoyed these films in terrible standard definition. Not even widescreen. I can't wait to see the masterpiece that is Death Wish 3 in it's proper aspect ratio.
Before I pull the trigger, can anyone sell me on why I should buy the individual releases? I'm well aware that there is a special edition of Death Wish 2 with the much-coveted, extended rape sequence. I'm really not interested in that. I think I'm good with just the regular version in the set. Can anyone persuade me otherwise? |
