Warner to Distribute Paramount and DreamWorks Animation DVDs In China - Blu-ray Forum

I don't know if anyone posted but a brief skim i didn't see it. On page 12 of the Neilsons magazine there is an article about Warner taking over distribution rights for paramount and dreakworks in china for DVDs. Could this possible mean we might see Transformers on blu-ray in china??

if the distribution of dvds encompasses blu-rays (which it most likely will) then there is a chance, we could be importing some transformers someday

let's hope if Warner is distributing it in China they release on BD as well and make it region free

China is region C but aren't all of Warner's Region B movies region free as well?

seems to me they will release it region-free (if they do release it) by seeing the current trend in US and Europe. Nevertheless, I am capable of playing all 3 regions

yes, we can get imported warner 'transformer' dvd already.
very cheap S$10 = $6.60.

I find this very interesting!! I might be looking too much into it but who knows....First we've all heard Dreamworks is not at best terms with paramount right now, also we all know Spielberg is pro-blu Spielberg also happens to be the head(I could be wrong, but either way he has a big part to do with Dreamworks) Michael Bay is upset Transformers isn't on Blu....Now this!! also what makes it more interesting is that it's WB, who also happens to be the Distributor for Dreamworks Sweeny Todd Movie(& thats here here in the US & worldwide)

Seems to me somethings goin on over there between the 3 parties (Dreamworks, Paramount & WB)

No it doesn't mean anything

This is a distribution deal, which means WB moves the product onto the shelves, nothing more

China adopted CH-DUD version of HD DUD as their hi-def format.

I've heard that the region A US Samsung BD-P1200 is region free for Blu-ray discs. Don't know if it's true though.
