Love the line in DW II when Bronson asks Stomper..."Do you believe in Jesus? You're gonna meet him." And it's the same actor (Kevyn Major Howard) who Harry Callahan threatened in the elevator in "Sudden Impact". That guy has made a career of getting blown away.

I realize you can still enjoy these without the original, but I'll likely pass until Paramount finally decides to release the original. At least for now since who knows if they ever will of course.

I enjoyed at least the first 3 Death Wish films...the series was enough for me at that point...so I'm definitely putting 2 and 3 into my Blu collection, but 4 I could do without. After that, I'll be waiting to see any news of a release date for the first DW film.

Default Death Wish 2-4 but not first or 5th!?!?

How does this make sense? Death Wish 2-4 are scheduled for next month but not the first or last? The 3rd one was always my favorite anyway, but damn. Should I be holding out for a complete set here or what?

The first is owned by Paramount, while II-III-IV are owned by MGM and V is owned by LionsGate. I wouldn't say a box set is completely out of the question but given the ownership I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Pre-ordered II and III. Doesn't look like II will be the uncut version, but I could care less. The DVD was the same thing and it doesn't look as if this uncut version is getting released anytime soon. Once the first Death Wish film is out that'll be it for me...don't care to own IV.

It's bizarre that MGM would decide to cut DW II for its blu-ray release, since the uncut version has been showing on MGM HD, Netflix, and Amazon Instant for awhile now.

Can't believe that they have released the cut version considering that the full uncut version is available on Netflix. Makes no sense at all. My copy is being delivered tomorrow. Wish I hadn't bothered buying it now.

I'm a little surprised that II is the R-rated version, especially since it's been available uncut in Europe since it arrived on DVD (it might even have been uncut on VHS in some countries). Regardless, I think I'll buy II, and definitely III.

Wait, I thought the UK DVD of Death Wish II was heavily censored?

Received my copy of DW2 from BestBuy.com a couple days ago. Also ordered DW3 & DW4 from Barnes & Noble since they have the 40% off sale. Now bring on DW1!!!
