Default Michael Bay to remake "The Birds"

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but the search function is useless as usual. While not my favorite Hitchcock movie, "The Birds" is still too great to let Mr. Bay get his greasy kid hands all over this baby. Is nothing sacred?

Because Michael Bay is directing it. Seriously, don't let him see that. He'll say "Brilliant," just like those Guiness commercials.

Maybe they should rename it: "The Turds."

Leave the classic Hitchcock film alone.

Bay couldnt be more wrong for the task. Could there be a director with any less in common with Hitchcock?

This should not be done.
Because Calamari Marionette Ph.D sounded pompous, that's why.

Bad idea me thinks. Michael Bay is good at creating over-the-top action/blockbuster movies. What is the extent of "The Birds"? Birds attacking people.

I personally wasn't a big fan of the first one and do not think that a re-make could be better.

Forget The Birds... no need to make a remake.. Seems like Hollywood running out of ideas... man, I already seen birds attacking ppl in the movie like Resident Evil: Extinction that kills Ashanti played as Betty.

I love it when Alice kill those damn birds with the power of fire up in the sky

Two of Hollywood's worst fads come together. The remake, and Michael Bay. I hope this movie bombs worse than Waterworld, but then again its Maggle Baee, and he'll just roll in the money for whatever studio is disgrasing this Hitchcock classic.

My stance on Anime...I just can't understand any of it, everyone is either a 10 year old girl or a monster.

I'll go see it. I am a big fan of the original as well. Although it's not without its flaws. The child actors in it are terrible. How about the singing at the school? Cringe-inducing.

Naomi Watts is supposed to play the lead role and Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) is supposed to be directing.

I love Hitchcock films and for the most part like all of Bay's movies, but I don't see this as a good combination. I suspect this will end up being like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake Bay produced, which wasn't that good.

Yes, I wish Bay would just disassociate himself from all horror films. Some of them haven't been bad, but none of them have been particularly good either.

What next, Uwe Boll doing a remake of Gone With The Wind.

Bay should stick with making lame sequels about robots, apparently he is good at that.
