I wish I could go to Brazil but me thinks Peter THX gobbled up all the good tickets.
With Jozy Altidore upfront, I think your plan is wise Penton Man.

It’s a pity what we have to rely on, isn’t it? At least we produce some fine goalkeepers. Anyway, techno facts as to the 4K acquisition -

We know you’re keeping the good stuff for yourself. My only question is how many stadium venues - http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/destination/index.html do you plan on traveling to in order to watch as many soccer matches as possible or, in the hopes of a hotter than average June/July, will you simply confine yourself to Maracana stadium the host city of Rio for the after-the-match beach amenities

Must do a 4K movie-related post so as not to completely alienate non-sports 4K fans.

Give me a few moments to think, as ya’ll ponder 4K 120fps capture and delivery (one way or another) someday for fast movement imagery, like sports , scroll down from the black frame to near the end of the pdf to get eyes on the comparison pics of the girl doing the cartwheel with the purty blu socks….

Fine article ….
http://www.hdvideopro.com/blog/edito...l#.U3OayfldWSo

Not mentioned in the article ^ but a significant thing to note (scanner manufacturer aside but, in addressing ‘bits’) is that since most facilities, when scanning 35mm celluloid at 4K, do 10-bit DPX due to memory and storage budgetary concerns, for context, see last 2 paragraphs here - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...an#post9092393

on the other hand, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was scanned at 4K 16-bit.

Sony (SNE) Q4 2014 Earnings Call - http://seekingalpha.com/article/2217...all-transcript
With a couple questions today from analysts on the last page of the above ^ transcript which were posed to the CFO of Sony Corporation about 4K tvs.

Anyway, SNE down -6.52%....http://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SNE

on the grounds that being the soccer fanatic he is, it’s evident he’s not hurting for World Cup tickets. Peter, I’ll bet you’re even flying down to Rio from LAX first class…while the rest of us poor blokes who were lucky enough to buy a few measly tickets (before you gobbled them all up)....travel cattle class.

tagline ‘Cine Gear’ - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...ar#post9146116 – (something I try to attend every June as long as the temperature doesn't exceed 100 °F , which has happened at past Expos)

“Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol” Achieves “Wow” Factor with 65mm Capture - FotoKem
http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/digi...seo/page7.html

65mm film camera, a tiny bit unpractical?
Like when Jack Cardiff took Technirama cameras to the Norwegian fjords to photograph The Vikings.
vikings2.JPG
”Executive producer/star Kirk Douglas hauled the Technirama cameras to the Norwegian fjords to photograph The Vikings , directed by Richard Fleischer in 1958. The film is pure action-adventure and an absolute blast to watch Douglas, Tony Curtis, and Ernest Borgnine chew the scenery and everything else in sight, including Janet Leigh. The Jack Cardiff photography was stunning, which is an adjective that could be applied to virtually all Technirama films, good or bad, or for any film shot by Jack Cardiff.”
Jamie Lee Curtis was conceived during the filming.
