I take it you don't have a Panasonic or region-free player then. Seriously, folks - it's worth the $70 investment!

Wonderful news, and not surprising given the reception volume one received! I sure wish a distributor would show Bob Hope the same kind of Blu-ray release love Vincent Price is being afforded!

Great news! I'm in for this one. Cry Of The Banshee, The House Of The Long Shadows, Twice-Told Tales, and Tales Of Terror (plus a few more) for Volume 3, anyone?

I think that 2014 has been a great year so far for catalogue titles, but this many years past the format war, and the oh my sky is falling inevitable death of blu ray story , yet the catalogue titles continue. But one has to wonder how the powers that be decide on what to do next.

yes it would be nice to have a little "Hope" for that matter how about the Road Pictures in a comprehensive collection

Where the hell is the Thin Man Series

Marx Brothers Paramount Films (Universal owned)

I don't think its odd t say that the independent's are doing a great job of understanding what we want to see,

but Uni and WB have lots and I mean lots that haven't even scratched the surface yet, I think they need to play catch up! and I don't just mean a repackage of a title that has already been released into a new steelbook

where is Uni Classic Monsters Vol 2: The Sequels

WB how about Children / Village o the Dammed Double Future
or Hawks The Thing From Another World
or Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Double Feature

as for the prospects of a Vol 3

The Tingler
Theater of Blood
Dr. Goldfoot Girl Bombs/Bikini Machine

Most of the titles are with other studios that I bolded, the Universal ones are with Universal.. Shout is unable to license from Warner or Sony so we wont see the Tingler.. I don't know if Shout would do the Universal classics, probably Universal would do it themselves..

I thought the news about a halloween box set was big. I consider this huge news you can't have enough Vincent Price on blu ray especially House On Haunted Hill.

I'm glad I can finally get rid of my midnite movies dvd's I hate the flip disc.

I have a feeling if this one sells as good as the first one we will probably see another one.

Word is that this next collection will release in October. I'm sure they'll announce that next month with extras and cover art.

Words can't even describe how pumped I am to get this, but these just about cover every emotion I felt while reading the announcement!

[Show spoiler]

And to top it all off, it's even better (IMHO) than that first awesome set! Such wonderful, wonderful news!

Thank you Shout/Scream Factory!!!

This announcement is hardly a surprise, but the inclusion of public domain titles such as The Last Man on Earth and House on Haunted Hill, certainly is. SF stated (more than once!) that there will be no public domain titles released on blu-ray through the SF line.

I've watched The Last Man on Earth twice, and it's an awesome flick. Lots of fun. IMO, it's much better than the versions with Heston and Smith. The German blu-ray of it looks like sh*t, but I believe that Scream have licensed their master from MGM as they own the best available elements (right?). I've seen the MGMHD airing (read: a HDTVRip of it ) and it looked nice. Head and shoulders above the German blu.

Now, House on Haunted Hill could be problematic. It appears that Warner hold the best available elements of it, and they're reluctant to license anything to anyone. I'll keep my fingers crossed for nice looking video presentation. I don't expect any miracles in that regard.

On the flip side, I'm surprised by the exclusion of Theatre of Blood from the set. As already noted, perhaps that means that Volume 3 could be on his way to blu-ray for next year.

All in all, terrific news. VP FTW

Great news! I had hoped to see TALES OF TERROR and TWICE-TOLD TALES appear in this set, but there's plenty of room for a volume 3 someday.

Im holding onto my HOHH until I know more about the SF release. The DVD for Last Man was terrific so I would expect it to look as good , maybe better
Both Warner and Fox released House
