I was comparing both sites, and shipping appears to be similar at around $17. How much is it cheaper over at Plain Archive? Also, do items purchased from Plain Archive get customs fee imposed to the buyer?

No idea, but for me it's just under $6 cheaper with shipping ($71.99 vs $77.89) and I don't usually use KimchiDVD. Customs generally isn't an issue for Blu-ray imports to the US.

According to injoinganBD on Instagram replies section, there won't be special features subtitles, except for the movies.

injoinganBD: "본편 자막은 한글과 영어로 되어 있으며, 부가영상에는 별도 자막이 없습니다.!"
("The feature subtitles are in Korean and English, and there are no separate subtitles on the special features!")

It was $67.99 USD at PA for fullslip A + shipping.
Leave them a note during checkout about customs. If they are able to, they will. But nothing is ever guaranteed.

I went with Full Slip A at Plain Archive. I was originally trying to get it at Nova so I could add a couple more things from their winter sale, but that sold out almost immediately.

I really regretted procrastinating on The Wailing and it eventually selling out, so I didn't want to miss out on this one.

I went with Full Slip B (preferred the 120 page photobook, though I much prefer the artwork for Full Slip A) and it came out to $71.99 total with shipping. PA was actually charging $14 for Full Slip A and $16 for Full Slip B, so I'm guessing they're charging a bit extra for the extra weight of the photobook.

I missed out on The Wailing as well, but found it at a very fair price on eBay. There are few copies available as of now on eBay, but around $80+ with shipping included.

i figured these would have been around for a long time, since there are a lot of copies out there from other labels. very shocked they sold out almost instantly

Yeah, I've had that Full Slip A on my watchlist for awhile now and haven't pulled the trigger. I'm holding out hope someone will throw one up for cheaper or eBay sends out a coupon (it's been a long time)...we'll see.

Does Plain Archive only cater to international buyers? Seeing quite a bit of posts on InjogainBD instagram account where people are asking if they can increase more quantities since they all sold out in a minute. Plenty of pre-orders available at PA, which is surprising. Has there been any reports regarding how many quantities are being made for each version?

Plain Archive are in Korea but they cater to both domestic and international buyers. As to the stock levels though, I'm wondering the same thing. It seems Plain Archive helped design this release, so perhaps CJ / Injoingan worked out a deal where the got a large amount of the stock. Certainly, they must have had much more than the other two English-friendly video webshops in Korea.

Ironically, Plain Archive is now sold out of one, but it's the 1/4 slip, not either of the fullslips with the booklets.

I just think it is just a matter of not many people being aware that it is stocked on Plain's website. I remember a post from Injoingan mentioning the various stores it would be stocked and and I don't recall Plain being on there.

Decided to pass on this release. The criterion will suffice. If I loved the movie more, I wouldn't hesitate though. But I respect the movie more than loving it.

Talk about timing, I was going tomorrow to buy the Australian release at JB Hifi for $79.00 and saw this tonight..........(went into panic mode although) Bought type B from Plainarchive. All is now good again.

Why conflicted? The Criterion does not offer a 4K option only standard Bluray.
So unless you want the 4K disc stick with the Criterion.

Basically no English friendly extras and no black and white version. Can't justify the money even though its a beautiful release
