Default End of the year sale at CinemaNow

Cinemanow is running a end of the year sale on some decent titles. Even if you don't like cinemanow if the title is UV you can still purchase it on cinemanow and watch it on Vudu.

If you look at some sites like ebay you can find deals on gift codes for CinemaNow that you can pick up cheap. This will help save even more.

Yes, I've purchased movies and converted DVDs. About 15. Nice way to transfer over my DVD collection to digital.

Maybe try a different browser?

If you buy HD movies from CN, do they show up in hd or hdx on Vudu?

HDX. HD movies in CN that support UV should get stored as HD in your UV locker, which Vudu should import as HDX (or highest quality available for movie if not available in HDX).

Not yet. Maybe in the future. CinemaNow doesn't support UV for TV shows at the moment, and while Vudu does, its selection of TV that supports UV is pretty limited. Hopefully, next year, both services will improve their UV TV library enough that this is possible.

Be careful purchasing anything from CinemaNow that doesn't have the UV logo. None of my previous purchases from CinemaNow that went UV have been converted to UV unlike Vudu who will convert existing titles owned to UV.

Also cinema now's purchase policy seems to match up with UV's stated policy of "streaming for an undisclosed time" or download & have it forever. Vudu makes statements of cloud permanency which I think go above & beyond what UV demands. I personally am only counting on the things I buy or redeem on vudu to last indefinitely. That being said, I bought/converted maybe 30 movies through CN as I bought a lot of the discounted CN codes. And put some more DVDs in my blockbuster online queue to convert some more.

I wish that guy who posted here recently with the $75 for $15 CinemaNow credit would put out some info on that New Year's Eve sale he spoke of.
