I redeem it through Vudu, and maybe two weeks ago (not sure when the "change" took place)

Okay just redeemed Mad Max on Vudu and got the UHD copy (already had HDX).

Awesome, now just need to figure out why my Pan isn't working.

For those that follow the trading forums, is anybody selling UHD UVs ? I posted a WTB UHD, and didn't get any responses?

This just seems to be random. I already have "Point Break" and "Sicario" in HDX on Vudu. When I tried to redeem from 4K both times it said "error you already have these in your movies" and to top it off it KILLED my redemption code.

Those two titles were not listed on the Vudu forum as giving UHD/4K from code redemption. Sicario is from Lionsgate, not Warner like the others and I don't even see UHD for it available on Vudu. Point Break just came out, maybe wait and see if they activate the 4K redemption for PointBreak on Vudu and then call them.

From the Sony code redemption site:

Quote:
ATTENTION: If you are redeeming an UltraViolet code from a Sony Pictures 4K UHD disc, please note that you will only be able to stream up to HD quality on SonyPicturesStore.com (downloads are only in SD). You will be granted the 4K UHD right, and will be able to stream in 4K once an UltraViolet-enabled 4K service is available in your country.

I just bought Concussion UHD disc, was about to redeem the code on Vudu are we saying it's better to redeem on Sony's site so I can get a 4K digital copy (at some point)?

Redeeming on Sony seems like the best option at this point since they're supposed to give you the 4K rights. Or hold onto the code until Vudu gets 4K rights and codes are redeeming in 4K.

Is it safe to assume that there's no point in buying FOX codes from UHD BDs?

I believe someone said they were using the exact same slips that they made for the BD releases, so there would be no way to distinguish them... if in the future they decided to upgrade those to UHD.

I wouldn't say that. I think there's a good chance that the other studios will follow Warner's lead just as Sony seems to be doing.

Which Sony UHD movie did you redeem the code from?

Are these movies showing up as UHD in your locker? I just redeemed San Andreas and I got the UHD in vudu but it did not appear in my locker. Only HD and SD.

Edit: it appeared today showing UHD!

Has anyone tested the Warner codes redeeming through flixster? Will it port to vudu as an UHD copy? Wondering if we can get 2 UHD redemptions out of these codes.

Yes, it does. I was lucky enough to snag the code for Mad Max in a giveaway thread, and two users asked me for the code so they could do the Flixster redemption. The first person to ask got the Flixster redemption from me.

Speaking of which, does anybody have a sheet somewhere that lists which WB codes redeem in both VUDU and Flixster?

I don't know about every title, but I know of at least two WB titles... according to what I've been told.

I was given the code to the Mad Max film and redeemed it via Vudu. Another user then redeemed the code via Flixster and had it added in UHD to their UV locker also.

I read that two people used the code for San Andreas as well.

I had a message from another member saying that Sicario gave 4k UV rights, can anyone else confirm? I know that it will not show up in Vudu because that title is not yet available in 4k through them but does anyone have this title in their locker showing as UHD?

On a side note I hope Fox gets on board with this soon, I am compiling a collection of un-redeemed fox UHD codes in the hopes that they come on board!

I just redeemed Enders game and The last witch hunter from the 4k blu-rays and in my locker it has UHD listed in the rights in my locker for both films. Looks like Lionsgate are onboard with UHD redeeming as well.
