I watch Welcome to the Dollhouse 3-4 times a year

a 4K would have been welcome at my dollhouse, I've got it all set up for you!


I do have the Sony BLU, and will be buying the Radiance Films BLU but would still love a 4K

It makes zero sense that Welcome to the Dollhouse was not included in this set. I still have the DVD. My hope (let's just call it a dream) is that Sony releases it as a 4K/Blu-ray combo.

For Amazon returns, my recommendations are:

- Call the 800 number, don't use the website

- you will get an operator in The Philippines or India, most likely. They have a script they are required to read off of, that's why they sound robotic. IMMEDIATELY when you get an operator, ask (politely) to be transferred to an operator in the US. As long as it's during work hours in the US, they can always do this. US operators have the power to make exceptions to rules and also are seemingly allowed to go off-script and have an actual conversation.

My Still Alice 4K disc is the most severely scratched disc I've ever seen. Did anyone else get a scratched Still Alice 4K disc? I don't know if I should get a replacement set from Amazon or look for a seller to buy a good Still Alice scratch free replacement individually.. I don't know if the scratched Still Alice is just bad luck or not.

What about the Paul Verhoeven films. I’m shocked that they’re not mentioned.

Sony has Hollow Man, Black Book, and Elle. The latter 2 definitely deserve to be on 4k.

This is a great list, although I doubt they'd release 2 films from the same director. Unpopular opinion, but I'd rather have Amour than Cache, but I'd take either.

Yes, I ****ing love this movie. It's one of those forgotten 90s movies that's never gotten love from bluray.

I wish they would have done Safe in this set instead of Still Alice tbh, I like Alice but Safe has more rewatchability to it and I think would look great in 4K.

The same Sony customer service rep who sent me the replacements for my Columbia Vol. 3 items asked me a bunch of scripted troubleshooting questions about Call Me By Your Name, so now I'm playing the disc on my LG player without really looking at it. Fast forwarding didn't reveal the spot where it's messed up. The disc drive is so loud. I don't know how people put up with it. Definitely would need to make sure I bought a really quiet one if I watched the discs directly still, or place a media cabinet outside the room and have a long HDMI cable running under the door, along with an IR extender.

YES!!!! As I'm typing, it froze at 1 hr 47 min, then skipped ahead to 2 hrs 4 min. I was worried that it would succeed on the player, essentially forcing me to keep the disc and never being able to do with it what I really want to do: put it on the server and watch it with the Zidoo. Was beginning to worry.
