Hey you're welcome. I suggest those boards whenever I talk to people who are planning on a trip. I was talking to an older couple in Barnes & Noble a week ago or so and had my computer with me and showed them how to access the boards. I mainly have just used the European forums and on both boards, each country has its own subforum. I believe even the smallest country will have its own SF.

I have not heard of Dalky but I'd love to see the area where Bono lives. I did not have a realistic itinerary when I went on my trip. I had a nice color map that I printed out and I used it to plot points of interest for my trip. I swear I had at least 50 points plotted which would have been absolutely impossible to do. I mean you could spend a whole day hiking at Glendalough probably. I actually did Glendalough and Kilkenny the day before my accident. I kind of rushed my trip to Kilkenny but little did I know, I would be back and would end up spending plenty of time there
I have to admit that while I was in Graiguenamanagh, there was an Australian girl staying at the B&B with her parents and I was quite smitten with her

Regarding Portlaoise, I did not know until after I had gotten back that it was the prison there where John Gilligan was housed. That's why I asked if you had seen the movie Veronica Guerin. I googled him just for the hell of it after I got out of jail. I had googled him before and I just wanted to see if there was anything new and that's when I found out that he was imprisoned there and he was actually released while I was there I was quite surprised to hear that.

I will continue talk a bit more about my trip in the next posts

Just a little bit but I'm quite shy and of course we didn't see each other much outside of the dining room for breakfast. But she was quite charming and I wish I could have gotten to know her better. She was working and living in London at the time but she's back in Australia now.
I did have a nurse in the hospital that I was quite smitten with as well.

I went to jail for criminal threats I did six months last year. Oh, I mentioned jail in my last post, which as you now know, I have been to, but I meant to say that I googled him after we went to Portlaoise. I'm reading that paragraph and yeah, I don't know why I wrote jail. Just a slip because I was in jail again recently (missed probation check-in, no new crimes).
So what I meant was that a few days or so after I went to PL, I googled John just for the hell of it and that's where I found out about his incarceration and release from jail.
And today I just googled him and it appears that someone tried to assassinate him back in 2014. I don't think that I ever heard about that. I think he was shot four times but he survived. I guess he had a body guard that was killed that same year. That's why I asked you about the movie Veronica Guerin a few posts back.

Sounds like you enjoy jail,is it the showers?

I haven't seen that film either, might have to check it out.

Your shy? you need to meet a woman online then as you seem to be chatty with a keypad.

Jail wasn't so bad this time. It's still not the place that anyone should want to be though. Jail in California is a bit different than other places lol

And are you trying to say that I talk to much? hehe Yeah I am quite insecure in person

I took a ride from New York City to Los Angeles CA on Amtrak in 2004. It was a memorable experience but I don't think I'll do it again lol.

I just came across this thread. I hope you guys don't mind my shameless self-promotion I recently rode on the historic Bluebell Railway in Southern UK for a unique afternoon tea experience. They have over 30 restored steam locomotives. The second largest collection behind the national rail museum. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video of mine. There are a few other train or rail-related videos on my channel too.
