Should I be worried about weird UK censor edits for any of these? I usually operate under the assumption that 4K releases aren't getting multiple edits across territories, but better safe than sorry!

I added three discs to my cart, and then also threw in the Nolan 4K collection to take advantage of the BOXSET30 sale and a few figurines that were on sale for a friend, and...apparently Zavvi doesn't allow you to take advantage of multiple unrelated sale offers in the same cart? I checked with customer service and they confirmed that's the case - you have to do each sale as a separate order, paying multiple shipping fees and getting multiple unnecessary deliveries.

I found this out during their last series of overlapping sales (Arrow and 88 Films and Powerhouse). If it's a 2/3 for $X/£Y, it gets added automatically and can be combined with any other offers. If it's Z% off that requires a code to be used, you can only use one code per order.

So the current Batman, Arrow, Ghibli and steelbook deals all need to be separate orders. While the 3 for £30 4Ks, 2 for £25 DC 4Ks, 2 for £18 Studio Canal and 2 for £20 Powerhouse can all be stacked in one order along with one, and only one, of the code deals. And, if you find a free shipping code (haven't seen one of those in a while), you can't use it and get the discount on Arrow, et al.

Even with all the added BS, they still have some pretty good deals from time to time.

There's 400 titles on sale on the UK site
US only has 140

https://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/offers/3-for-30.list

3 for £30... just set the country as UK and currency in USD.

I tried to add more to an order shortly after but they said I couldn't. Wouldn't let me combine shipping either. Their customer service and the way they run their business sucks and I'm sure I'll have to pay customs for my big order.

Do the Pixar films have all the extras that are on the Ultimate Collector's versions, or the American versions?

Also, it says the Blu-ray discs are Region B, is that correct?

Thanks.

Don't know about the extras, but Disney (and Pixar by extension) have been region free blu-rays for the past few years.

Not much in top film quality or anything high on my wishlist, but I haven't bought from Zavvi for a year so I'll take any solid 4K deals.

Bill & Ted 3
Blade
Expendables 2
Unforgiven
X-Men
X-Men 2

That brings my 4K collection to close to...25. Meanwhile I'm close to 500 Blu-Rays. I think I've bought all my 4Ks from Zavvi and Gruv. Are Hamilton Books and Diabolik as good?

Hamilton is clearance, so it depends what they get in, and when titles sell out they usually don't come back in-stock. Occasionally they have great prices on 4Ks, but not a big selection overall. Zavvi has some excellent sales, but they only sell UK product (dunno about the merch). Gruv has great prices, but they're Universal's retail website, and, though they do sell some titles from other studios/labels, the great majority are Universal. Diabolik specializes in horror and exploitation, though they have branched out some. They tend to be more expensive, but some members seem to like to order pre-orders from them and their packaging's very good.

I ordered when they did the 3 for $36, but it ended up being $15 each after the delivery charge.
Mistakenly I assume they had stock in the U.S., but it's being shipped from Blighty & never showed up. They can't provide a tracking number, so they're going to send me a new 3.

I'm still waiting for my order, and it's been over three weeks. If I don't get it by the end of this week, I'm going to contact them again to send me a replacement order. This is going to be my last time ordering from Zavvi because they don't provide tracking numbers for their international orders, and without a tracking number, there is no possible way for the customer to track their package, in case if it's lost or just sitting in a facility somewhere for weeks.

Have you guys never ordered from Zavvi before? Three weeks would be a very fast delivery from them. It's not uncommon to wait twice that or longer.

They've raised their international shipping rates. £5 tracked for US and £10 tracked for Canada. As I'm in Canada, I won't be ordering again anytime soon. Ugh.

I'm not sure exactly when it changed exactly, but US International Shipping has been £4.99 since sometime mid 2020 though it wasn't tracked then. My 2019 orders were £3.99, 2018 it appears £2.99. My recent orders actually list shipping as 5.33 since they add sales tax to the shipping charge as well as the item cost

I don't remember getting a tracked ZavviUk item until mid 2022 -- unless I paid for £10-15 Priority shipping
